Offer (paid) in-store workshops/classes on technology topics - like a cake decorating workshop. Possible topics:<br><br>- Ipad - instructor-led guidance on how to make the most of your ipad - innovative uses, useful accessories, etc.<br>- A/V basics and setup tutorial<br>- Exclusive walkthrough and touch &amp; feel of cool, premarket CES gadgets<br>- Getting started with Smart Home basics that will save money<br>

As a photographer, and knowing how overwhelming a DSLR can sometimes seem to new buyers, I of course could see the value in providing in-depth classes on some of the more complicated equipment we sell. Does anyone else have any feedback on this idea? Remember to vote for an idea if you like it.

It sounds nice on paper but it could never happen. Best Buy stores simply do not have the space for any sort of instruction, especially now that they have crammed more departments into the stores to sell stuff like high-end coffee machines and home design services. Also, many local Best Buy stores would already be competing with other established businesses and even schools that provide classes for things like using a DSLR.
