I am looking for a new computer, but I am very picky about my specs. It is driving me crazy that I can't just select "4 GB of RAM" or better when trying to narrow my results. Instead, I have to take the time to go through every category. I wish there were sliders so I could select "4GB - 12GB." Same thing with the price range. I am also having an extremely hard time finding out which computers have dedicated graphics cards or not. It is usually listed in the specs of the computer, but I have to click on just about every individual computer to find out; it would be great if there was a category for it on the "Narrow Your Results."

Maybe if you improved your computer search tools, I might be able to determine which computer I want to buy from you. Instead, I see that there are 300 possible results and become extremely discouraged.. it is very time consuming to go through all of them just to realize the graphics card is shared.

I personally feel the more ways to narrow the search results the better. I would like to hear from other customers on this.

It is pretty hard to narrow down what you want to find on the website sometimes.  My problem is trying to find anime series since all the new stuff coming out isn't actually placed under the anime category anymore.  Computers can be a little difficult, but last time I did a search, it gave me the option of searching by graphics (at least I thought so).

Yeah, I was thinking my comments could be applied to other searches as well. I should have mentioned this - you can search by the graphics card manufacturer, but it will not give you all of the results. For 100 computers, you can see 50 are Intel, 10 are AMD, and the rest weren't marked in this way so you have to go through the other 40 to find out what they are. The issue seems to be that not all of the computers are tagged as they should be, and apparently it is the same thing with anime. There are enough categories to narrow down my search, I just wish I could select 4 GB - 8 GB instead of looking at 4, then 6, then 8 to see if what I want is in any of those categories, and then I have to search within those categories by price because I have a budget. It is hard to keep all of those internet tabs straight!

I think in general, this could be summarized by the fact that all of the specifications on all items are completely filled out.  This is what primarily leads to confusion on what specs the items actually have if they're not listed.  Definitely need it for doing side-by-side comparisons.

Definitely need to add Check Boxes for the Narrowing instead of linking around or site. This would add simplicity to this issue and give the dot com a better UI.

Assuming we are refeering to bestbuy.com, the search engine in general needs a huge upgrade, once I tried searching for Adele, and accidentally left out the last E and it found 0 results.....

Now, almost a year and a half later, I am looking on Best Buy to buy a TV, and what do you know - there are check boxes to narrow my search! I can look at TVs in the 28"-32" category as well as the TVs in the 33"-39" category all in the same search. This is so much easier; I'm not sure how much my original post contributed to this, but thank you for making your search engine more user friendly!

This now an option under both Desktop and Laptop computers.
