Has BBY considered keeping your same status for 2021

2020 has been one heck of a year, and for any of us, it has impacted our purchasing ability from Best Buy. There has been many products that I have wanted to purchase, but was unable to do so because of sotres being closed, or a lack or inventory. The Xbox and PS are one of the items, but also small items such as no inventory of printers, no SD cards, no ink, and no phone accessories when I needed them. I've been an Elite mmeber for the past several years and have never had an issue hitting the $1500 in a calendar year. This year, I am finding myself having an issue of hitting that, just due to the lack of inventory. Just looking at my other online purchase history, I've had to purchase close to $600 at other stores right now that would have been spent at Best Buy if there was an inventory. I am sure there are many otherts in the same situation as well.

 

I believe that in a token of good gesture from the Best Buy corporation, if they were to extend everyones Elite and Elite Plus memberships throughout 2021 even if they didn't hit the levels during 2020. This would cost the company nothing, and would show that they care for their members and customers. Has there been any discussions for this?
