Gamers Club Unlocked No More Limits

Limits for Gamers Club Unlocked should be removed. By removing limits, Best Buy will be more profitable while keeping repeat buyers happy. There are many reasons why a person would want multiple games (sometimes you sell a game after beating it and want it again later, there may be a new addition, or you want gifts for family & friends). Regardless, it shouldn't matter what the customer does with the item after purchase as long as it's legal.

It should be obvious that I wasn't striving for originality. Regardless, your post didn't call for removing limits, period, while mine does. I just want it to be known that having limits does not help Best Buy maximize profit nor does it keep consumers happy. And even if limits were absolutely necessary, repeat customers should not be punished for going over a limit -- all they have to do is use an algorithm that will turn off the GCU discount after a set amount is purchased.

There needs to be some limits set in place for the program. Taking away the limits completly would not maximize profit.  are you one of those repeat customers that go over the limit?

LucentBeam, voted for it b/c I`d like to see the limits removed too but BB`s repsonse will be the "limits are in place for BB`s protection from abusers". Now the only options that they would even consider if they completely removed the limits would be

1- A increased GCU fee to an amount above $120 PER YEAR probably close to $150.

2- A purchase surcharge fee PER TITLE above a certain amount of the same game probably $2-$3. So your 1st 3-4 purchases of GAME A would be fine but every one after that would have a $2-$3 fee auto added on.

If you`re ok with either of these options than that`s what to expect. Maybe they can offer a frequent buyers add on to GCU that way only those customers willing to except these changes can opt in.

There have been a few situations where I've purchased multiple copies of the same game as gifts for different friends, so I can see some of the advantages to this. What does everyone else think?

My main issue with this is and I am just going to give this example out cause I know I took advantage of it myself and bought two copies ( one for myself and one for friend just cause I'm awesome like that.)

A while back BB had copies of BF4 on sale for like $25 each ( epic sale is epic...)

So I purchased two copies. But the sale didn't last long cause you ran out of stock in literally what was it... about four hours. Yeah...why? Well, long story short people was buying high stock of them and then reselling them for profit.

I agree the limit should be higher but there should still be a cutoff. One for each platform, and maybe what 2-3 for friends?

Oh this was for unlocked so you are referring to pre-orders my bad, my example was after it was out but still :/

It would be nice though to not have as many limits so you can have one for each platform at any rate. At the moment there are like what...five or six major platforms? (honestly I don't see how people play a game like six times but whatever flaots your boat heh )

The limits were no doubt put in place because of all the people complaining of sale items quickly out  of stock. These limits help prevent that.
