I am confident our store employees were made aware of this promotion, and if they were having issues setting up the purchase correctly they should have support to resolve those issues. Would anyone else like us to re-launch this promotion with upcoming releases? Remember to vote for an idea if you like it.
Allan,
What are the odds that the same promo is run again for the Sunset Overdrive special edition Xbox release?
I am waiting for the best deal to purchase a PS4, and will have enough rewards by then to get it with no additional costs.
So I had a similar issue with this When the PS4 and XBO launched last year. I pre-ordered a whole bunch of games after E3 and I learned about the Gamers Club Unlocked bundle deal a few weeks before the consoles released. The store employees could not set the deal up, many didn't even know it was going on and they had issues with getting my pre-orders and getting them discounted with GCU. Luckily there was one employee that knew what was going on and on that midnight launch took over the register and helped me out.
There is a huge problem..... and it's not only Bestbuy but several retail stores and Cell Phone stores..... where customers are more informed than the people that work there. I come across this so much. I don't expect someone at a huge retail store to know everything about all the deals like I would a person working at a T-mobile or AT&T (for example.) But I do expect them to know about Major Promotions and know how to fulfill them at the register.
This is also a ongoing issue with my BB and the customer service section. When I go to Pre-order a game or pick one up I'm always there waiting for 10-15 min because the employees don't know what they are doing and have to call a manager or someone else over. It's a shame that BB did not hire me when I applied 2 years ago. A better job needs to be done to hire people that know about what they are selling and can run a computer versus people that have pretty smiles or bubbly personalities. They may have passed the interview process with flying colors but when it comes to running the show or actually helping the customer they epically fail.
