Expand/increase the # of coupon/promo packs sent out/available in-store

It can be frustrating for customers to hear about promos that they would be eligible for but were unable to get in on because the promo wasn't well promoted enough.

The reg. RZ coupons packs are only sent out to "some select" RZ customers why not all of them? For the # that goes unused there would surely be several customers that didn't get them that would now make s purchase because of the coupon.

Same goes for the RZ silver coupon packs which only "some select" silver members get again why not all of them. Especially since them having earned silver status one way or another generally means they're a loyal BB shopper.

I've even noticed that some stores regular have "thank you" or "appreciation" coupons that other BB stores rarely/never have. Why does one store appreciate or feel the need to thank their customers but not all of the stores?

This is a GCU specific coupon request...since there will always be games left off the $20 pre-order promo list can there be some new coupons geared towards customers who get more diverse games that maybe niche or overlooked but with the right promo BB would be the place to pre-order it at. A universal $15 GC or 750 RZ pts coupon would suffice that can be used on any title & it could be included in the GCU welcome kit(which should be avail. in-stores).

I find the way coupon/promos are handled very frustrating. I've been a Silver member for a couple years now, and I almost never get any coupons (such as the 3x points on X category, or 10% off Y category Silver coupons) mailed to me. Last I remember getting any was well over a year ago. I've tried to text the number to get them on my phone, and I just get a message saying that my mobile coupons have expired and next month's offers are coming soon - except they never do! I called CS about the Silver coupon mailings, andy they said they didn't know why I wasn't getting any, but there would be a mailing going out around the holidays for all Silver members - unsurprisingly, I didn't get that either. Certainly doesn't make me feel very appreciated for being a loyal customer who has spent quite a bit of money there over the years.

Also, while I like the promos offered on the myrz website, I HATE that you have to claim them! Why can't they just be in effect? It's annoying to check the website after you've just made a purchase and see an offer that could have been applied, or to foget to claim an offer before making a purchase.

One GCU coupon that I wish was used as a regular coupon instead of only in the Welcome Packs is the 50% off a strategy guide. I LOVE LE/CE strategy guides, and I almost always buy them from Amazon because of the price difference. The only time I've bought from Best Buy? When I had the 50% off coupon.

It’s possible the limitation of the amount of coupons provided our customers are us trying to limit the number that will be redeemed. Just a thought.

The varying offers from one store to another could simply be a local marketing strategy. Not all offers provided by our stores are nationwide offers. In fact a single Best Buy store has the ability to work with marketing to provide a benefit exclusively for their customers. Would anyone else have anything to add here? Don't get me wrong Allan I completely understand BB wants to monitor the redemption rates as they should I mean you would like to get sales straight up w/o any discount but I believe a better middle ground can be found. For example, more diverse coupons packs sent to customers based on a pre-set preference that we fill out combined with our purchase history should give yu an extreme advantage in that knowledge is power.

From what I've seen from BB most of your promos are really good but there's just some tweaks needed to fully maximize the potential of them. I appreciate that BB offers a forum for us to work together & build a better Best Buy & that along is something that most retailers can learn from.

I had no idea that local stores had that mch power related towards marketing/promos but it does make alot of sense now that I think about since no one will know their area better than the people who spend the most time there.

I used to get coupons/deal notifications in the mail all the time as a Reward Zone member but now I have to go online and dig through the RZ website as well as the Best Buy website to check the offers for RZ members and it's led to my not shopping at Best Buy as much when I can't see or find something in time as Best Buy doesn't send out e-mail notifications either. They could certainly do e-mail deals for RZ customers.
