Coffee shop in store

Lease out a small space inside the store, maybe only big box stores or maybe all, and call the coffe shop Best Joe. With our customer base a lot of people would probably enjoy the ease of access to decent coffee, especially during long consultations, complex sales, or Geek Squad service times. At my store we have a Panara Bread and a Starbucks withing a 2 minuet walk of the front door and customer constantly come in and out with their products.

Being that I love coffee I can't agree more with this idea. From a Best Buy standpoint I could see the potential value in doing this. I'd like to hear other user’s thoughts on this? Remember to vote for an idea if you like it.

I love the idea of a coffe shop in our stores, though being a non-coffee drinker, I'd appreciate something with an expanded selection of non-coffee drinks as well.

Imagine that as an opener as well. "Hey, can I grab you a water?" Or "Hey, can I grab you a coffee" (Maybe sample sizes could be free) This would definitely help break down the 'salesman' mentality a customer may have and turn a grab-and-go customer into a customer that's able to see our wide variety of services.

Worthless idea. You know why? Because every single Best Buy store already has a coffee shop like Starbucks or Panera in the same shopping center, across the street, or near by in an adjacent shopping center. Retail developers plan their malls that way. Even the BBY Mobile store at the shopping mall near my house has a full-service Starbucks within 300 feet. Also, as a former Best Buy employee, I would not support or encourage any customer to take advantage of such a thing because it would cause serious problems should they end up spilling their beverages while poking around laptops or other expensive products.

Walmart has mcdonalds inside them.

Target has starbucks and pizza hut express inside them.

Costco has there own eatery inside them.

I usually pick up something to eat after I'm done shopping from any of the above store. They are also usually located inside shopping centers with other places to eat but it saves me time from having to go to more than one place. If Best Buy does go ahead with this idea, I would like to see a Dunkin Donuts and Subways inside my Best Buy. Smiley Happy

I absolutely love this idea.  Whenever I go shopping, I always have to have a cup of hot coffee or hot chai tea latte in my hands.  For an example, the first place I go to when stepping inside a mall is the coffee shop. If my destination was Best Buy, it would always entail having to stop by a nearby Starbucks or Caribou's first. If it doesn't make sense financially to have a coffee shop in big-box stores, then perhaps locating future big-box stores near already pre-existing coffee shops would help customers out?

ANYTHING Best Buy can do to keep customers in the store is a PLUS.  See my idea on in-store entertainment, AKA a BB entertainment channel playing on big screens in the store.  Shopping at my local BB is like shopping in a warehouse.  Everyone is looking to be entertained today (look at the % of people who admit to getting their new from The Daily Show).  If the in-store experience is not entertaining or otherwise compelling, and if coffee or 5-hour energy drinks is what it takes, get 'er done!

Seriously, while I understand that most customer's are more intent to walk around. Those customers that are needing Geeksquad could definetly use a more relaxing form of waiting than standing in a seemingly endless line.

While I understand throwing a Starbucks into the middle of the floor space is unreasonable, providing a self-service area with free coffee (or other light refreshment), an ample amount of padded furniture, and a "now serving" ticketing system would add some releif and organization to the constant discomfort felt by customers and agents alike.
