Bring back to Discover Card's Discover Deals

Status: We Did It!

Best Buy is no longer found with the likes of,, and in Discover's cashback bonus portal for their card members. The portal, called Discover Deals, lets customers be referred to partner sites and in exchange for using the stores linked, the customer will get 5% Cashback bonus or more, rather than the standard 1%. was part of this for years, offering the common 5% incentive as and still offer.

It was a great system that got me buying lots more from Best Buy, but while the other companies have stayed, Best Buy backed out. Please bring it back to the Discover Deals portal alongside its sensible competitors.

Would anyone else like to see this come back as an option? Make sure to vote for an idea if you like it.

Yes. I have used at least monthly. And have checked back weekly since it went away to see if it has come back. I am not sure that this thread will get the traffic that will want this back. I almost did not find it. Would best buy or discover have more influence on's return to discover deals?

This was a big thing that made me buy things at best buy and not other places (which maybe were w little cheaper.)  I could do a store pickup and get my item same day + get my cashback.

Since it was removed I have found myself purchasing other places where I get cashback and also give me the best deal in combination.  If I can get it locally, that's cool, if not I'll get it online where I usually don't have to pay tax (7% savings right there.) Check my spending this year...over 10k already this year.  I do not see myself spending a fraction of that amount next year if this is not brought back, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Yea would not make sense to cancel it.  The reward comes off Discovers end not BB's.  They do it to encourage people to use Discover.

The best reason for BB to not participate is the significanly highe rate Discover charges for card use.

Maybe let's see what happens in a few weeks and we will see what happens.

I am often amazed at how many people don't make use of Credit Card Reward programs.  They are a very good thing

Yeah I ALWAYS use Discover Deals when I purchase things.  Lately Discover has been CUTTING delas like for there 5% monthly cashback where as EVERY YEAR from October to December if puchasing online you ALWAYS get 5% cashback.  I wonder if Discover card will last or will be purchased by another bank becuase they have been cutting back things.  A few years ago they had when it was your birthday month you get DOUBLE CASHBACK on anything your purchase when it was your birthday moth.  They discontinued it on Oct 1, 2012.

This is incorrect. The error on Aug 6 was when ALL online cash back deals went missing. That has since been corrected. Best Buy ended their presence on Discover Deals several weeks before the glitch.

Thanks for the info.  Boy! this makes me think if Discover Card will still last a few years or it will take over by anthor bank.
