BioWare Cards

I would like to suggest that BestBuy partner with Bioware and start selling Bioware Point cards. There are several games that BestBuy sells but:

1) Bestbuy does not carry the dlc packs for these games

2) BestBuy does not give a way to get the "point currency" to purchase the dlc off of the bioware website.

Naturally, with most of the digital download version stuff ( such as the Dragon Age: Origins) digital download you would want to give a dlc option or maybe even add a collectors edition version for the steam key that can be purchased.

But the physical copies still need either the dlc or a way to get the points.

  • Good idea.  Best Buy does carry other cards such as for Steam and Blizzard, etc...

However, perhaps it is a matter of BioWare does not want to work with Best Buy, They may have agreements in place already with other companies.

@bobberuchi

Do my knowledge BioWare does not have any affiliation to anybody besides to Origin/EA and I think that's because they are now part of EA or something? From what I can tell the only place at the moment to buy BioWare points is via the BioWare site.

For a while there a few years back Bioware had lost a lot of respect in teh gaming community until EA came in and startied working with BioWare ( hence why I say they must be owned or affiliated somehow ).

By partnering with BestBuy it would be bringing all the DLC packages for games such as Dragon Age and Mass Effect to a larger crowd.

@AWBrown

I have played a lot of Bioware games.  I just looked at a list of their games. I have played to some extent most of them, other than the Star Wars games.  In fact it is their Forgetten Realms games that drew me back into Gaming things other than shooters.

Best Buy should stock their cards.
