Best Buy should stay out of political issues

Best Buy should stay out of political issues such as the MN Marriage Amendment. Focus on selling computers, and other household items; period.   Besides, there is too much money in politics already and you are making it worse.

Politics + business = bad. IMO

I wasn't aware Best Buy was involved in that.  As a Best Buy employee, I figured I would know.

Huh.

I do agree that it sends the wrong message if a national (heck, we're international) corporation takes a stance on a controvertial issue.  Those within the company might feel like their opinions are being superceded.

I did a little bit of digging, and on this issue, I found this quote, taken from twincities.com:

"Right now Best Buy is solely focused on turning around our business and charting our future. Part of that effort includes creating an employee experience that celebrates diversity and inclusion, and we remain strongly committed to LGBT workplace equality."

If Best Buy is more involved than that, I can't find that information.  Do you have a link?

They're not doing anything one way or the other. Several corporations gave political donations to a business oriented Republican who is also opposed to gay marriage (Note:none of the companies came out and said it was due to the gay marriage stance). It's lose-lose because someone would get upset either way based on donating to a pro or anti gay marriage candidate. Either way this is picking one issue that only affects one group, rather than a discussion about the economy, the national debt, or jobs. Typical American politics on show again.
