Apple Pay & Best Buy Credit Card

With our wallets growing ever thicker, it would be phenomenal to add my Best Buy Credit Card to Apple Pay! One less card to carry around and always on me.

 

It's nice to be able to look up the card at Best Buy, but what if I want to use it outside of Best Buy? Apple Pay to the rescue!

Thanks for the suggestion. The Best Buy branded credit card is a Citibank card, which means you would need to reach out to Citibank/Apple on this.

I think that for right now Apple Pay supports first party cards. I tried to add my eBay Master Card and Macy's American Express to Apple Pay and it rejected it sayng it is currently not supported. Same went for my Walmart Captial One Mastercard. 

 

Yet I can use my Apple wallet for things like 7-11 and also my COVID vaccination record plus paying for transit rides.

It is probalby becuase Apple Pay charges the card company (not you) 3% to run the transaction

 

I would say the card company is denying access to Apple Pay
