Best Buy IdeaX

Currently, Best Buy Gamer's Club Unlocked members save 20% off new games. This is a great feature, and that's why I don't mind paying for the new (much more expensive) service. However, the exclusion of digital games makes me less likely to purchase more titles.

Since we're now paying $120 for a 2 year subscription, it seems logical to include digital console titles seeing as how digital is the future. Many of us gamers want to move away from having physical copies, and instead have digital copies.

Going with this, the amount of digital games for systems like Xbox One and Playstation 4 are extremely lacking. I'd love to see more games available, similar to how Amazon has done, so I may purchase more!

Has there been any update on this? BBY is losing close to a grand a year of potential income from me alone. I buy all of my games from the xbox marketplace now. I haven't bought an xbox game from best buy in more than a year.

I have several of each console in different locations for personal use and I'm only ever going to buy digital copies. I pay for the gamers membership mostly to buy handheld games for the kids. I would make my console game purchases from Best Buy if buying digital was made easy for me. I like going into the store to browse, usually buy a bunch of electronic stuff, but until Best Buy makes digital entitlement purchases easy I'm buying straight from first party marketplaces.

I'm the same as the two above me. I primarily buy all my games digital. It's just a few single player only games that I'll buy from Best Buy gamers club unlocked membership. Include digital and all of my video game purchases would be from Best Buy. Include digital and all of my video game purchases would be from Best Buy

2 years later, and it doesn't look like anyone out there is listening. But I'd still love to see this implemented on digital titles.
