Hi. It's another Moday evening, approximately 13 1/2 hours before new Blu Ray and DVD releases. Tomorrow is the release of the Aerosmith blu ray called Rock For The Rising Sun and I still don't know whether or not your stores will have this particular item available. I may be a rather small market segment that actually purchases new releases on the morning that they are first available for sale, but it would be nice to know in advance whether or not you will be stocking the items that are new rather than searching for an item only to find information for the item given as "Store Pickup: Coming Soon" the day before an item is being mada available for sale. Surely your chain must be aware at this point whether or not the item will be stocked in your retail locations, yet I have to wait to see if I can actually drive to a store on a Tuesday morning to find out if it will actually be there. I have done this for quite some time now for many an item. I'm at the point where I will just order in advance from Amazon rather than wait to see if your stores will have the item available. Please be aware that your lack of advance notice if an item will be available will affect your sales in the future. I purchase a new release at least a couple of times every month, just recently having purchased the Rockshow Paul McCartney blu ray concert as well as the blu ray release of The Jerk at your Sawgrass, FL location and I went through the same waiting to see if it would be in stock scenario for both releases.

Thanks,

I know that due to competitive advantage reasons we usually don't share what we will be carrying in the future prior to the date the stock is released for sale. This is most likely why these new-releases are not advertised as available for purchase until they are available for purchase.

It is also completely possible that a specific Best Buy store will not have their stock for any new-releases until the day they are made available to be purchased. I would hate to see us say a particular store will have a specific release available for purchase at some point in the future, and then not have this be accurate information.

I could see this working and help to drive business to BestBuy(good thing).

Maybe instead of saying the specific day/etc. Just have like a "monthly upcoming newsletter" that would list some of the hot hits that are headed this way. Actually, to take it a step further this could be a newsletter that BestBuy sells could become something quite big. It wouldn't be an expensive subscription but it would just give that advantage. MOST larger BestBuy stores will have the same items as advertised while some of the smaller stores may not.

There could also be a "check for future item" option on the site for those subscribers? Which it could show maybe routing information or something of when it is planned to be at that specific store? (not sure how warehousing aspects of Best Buy are so yeah)
