24 hour 100% return on NEW games. (non digital)

I'm sure for those who know me, suggesting non digital content is strange! I was browsingOrigin the other day and I noticed they have a "24 hour no questions asked 100% refund"

Generally when you buy a game your only option is to trade it in ( somebody would have to confirm this obviously as I only do digital content )

Anyway, I think it would be a sweet idea if BestBuy did this as well! I know at least one particular user on this forum without giving  out their name who likes to hear about a game before he makes the purchae. Which to some people is great to get feedback first so I was thinking why can't they just try the game for 24 hours if they don't like it return it for 100% refund.

The main problem with this idea is that people would use this as a rental system causing us to have substantially more open-box games. We have to sell open-box games at a discount which would cost us a ton of money. I just can't see us ever doing this.

Here is the main issue with this, Piracy. Imagine if you pay $60 just to copy/burn the game then you just return it for the $60. It's the same reason if the game is open you can not return it for a different game, it has to be the same game. Not everyone will do this but enough people will to hurt not only BB but also the Developers that make the games. It's bad enough Used Games hurt profits of game developers but to be able to do this would be the final blow. This would just give developers no other option but to go Digital only for games in the near future.

Won't happen. Goes against the policy of opened game software being returnable at all. And this isn't just Best Buy. Practically every retailer has this policy in place. I saw a person upset they couldn't return a PS3 Bundle because they opened the game that it came with as part of the bundle. This was at my local best buy. Location W SAN ANTONIO TX (Store 152) 6001 Nw Loop 410 Ste 108 San Antonio, TX 78238. I over heard them being denied their return. I tried to explain to the Best Buy employee that the PS3 uses a standard 2.5" hard drive just like a laptop. Said they should let the customer know that they can just sell them a larger hard drive. Since I over heard that the reason the customer wanted to return the bundle was that they wanted a PS3 with a larger hard drive. Problem would of been solved and Best Buy would of gotten a sale. But the Best Buy Employee just brushed me off.
