This had been a MAJOR ISSUE I believe since day one of the PAID GCU membership & it's still not been adressed.
The 10% discount should apply to all used game purchases and promos however, the PC consistantly doesn't do it 7 the response from the mangers/reps in store is that it's one of the other WRONG. Since this is a copy from Gamestop I'll show you how it works there.
If I buy 3 used games that all cost $4.99 each then EACH GAME should ring up $4.49 not just the 1st one. i shouldn't have to choose to only get the discount on 1 game or have each one rang up seperately.
If I buy 3 used games via a buy two get one promo all 3 games costing $4.99 then again the 1st TWO games should be $4.49 each & the 3rd one free.
If there's a buy one get one 50% off deal the 10% should come off the 1st used game & the 2nd game would be discounted by 60%
This should not be as hard to grasp as it's been made to be but again here we are. Please update the system AND educate the staff accordingly as it makes no sense for a me a non employee to be able to explain the flaws in the current system with store reps asking me how did I learn so much.
Allan,
It's a combonation of factors
1-The in-store prices aren't always the same as online which means when a customer locates the item in-store they have to get the item price matched to BB.com. Once this happens the store won't allow the coupons per double dipping. From what I've seen the both web/store used prices should be the same which means there's usually a system error.
2-The 10% discount that's being PAID for should discount on ALL of the games purchased w/o multiple transactions being needed. The system error is that it only comes off the 1st item scanned.
The coupons in question are from the @gamer mag & RZ GC/GCU found on the myRZ site under "GC offers"
Here's some current examples
Witcher 2 & Killzone 3 aren't scanning up the correct price in-store so if there was a @gamer coupon or RZ GCU coupon that took $5 off any used game under $20 the customer wouldn't get the correct deal. The store would need to pm BB.com thus making the store reps not willing to use the coupon. And if both games where purchased in the same transaction the 10% discount would only come off the 1st game scanned.
The 10% discount should apply to both games & the coupon would come off the higher priced game. Now that @gamer coupons work online a customer maybe able to do that but if it's a RZ GCU coupon the deal would have to be done in-store.
Pretty much the two things needed to correct the whole issue is the 10% discount applying to all used games in a transaction & store/web prices need to be in sync. And when there's a pricing error stores need to know the pm of BB.com shouldn't mean a customer can't use the coupons.

This is a constant problem when getting the store to match BestBuy.com, the cashier will claim that a coupon can't be used and/or the 10% discount won't apply, claiming it's an either/or situation (.com price match vs. Unlocked benefit) which is absurd.
The 10% discount on used games should be applying to all used games in a transaction but it doesn`t. So say youpurchase. 3 used games during a B2G1 promo the 10% will only apply to the 1st game scanned.
Seems to be a system issue that rejects the 10% like it`s an offer so the PC reacts like it`s a double dip. Managers/staff can override & reduce the 2nd game by 10% but they`re not informed. The deny b/c they think it`s a double dip as well when it`s not. If there was a clear outlined sample trade sheet detailing that the 10% always applies this would greatly assist. This allow has a huge impact on why people are reluctant to invest in GCU if the main perk/benefit of the program is flawed/inconsistant what else can be depended on. That`s also why I made the 2nd ideax post, hoping to get things resolved before the new program went into full swing. http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Best-Buy-IdeaX/Please-post-clear-examples-of-how-the-trade-in-process-w...You must be a registered user to add a comment.
