Gears 5 is finally here! In a sequel to Gears of War 4, you’ll return to Sera to continue Kait Diaz’s journey into her family history, as well as her connection to the Locust. I know I’ve been looking forward to Gears 5 since it was announced at E3 2018, and from what I’ve seen, it looks to be the biggest Gears of War game to date!

Monday, July 8 is National Video Game Day! While this may conjure images of geeks eating chips and drinking soda in their Mom’s basement, video games have transcended the stereotypes associated with them to become a pastime that all ages can enjoy regardless of sex or race.

I remember the first time I saw the first Resident Evil game on the shelf at my local video game store, I was intrigued. The game was nothing like I had ever seen before and the guys there really said it was something special. I got home, unwrapped that baby and popped it in.
For the next 8 hours, I was enthralled like very few games have ever done before or since. I fondly recall jumping out of my chair the first time the zombie dogs came crashing through the window. The dialogue may have been horrible, but the atmosphere and mood of the game were second to none. I never ended up beating the game, but I had more fun not beating that game than many that I have beaten.
Many years later, and many new games later, we have a brand new chapter in the franchise. That chapter is Resident Evil: Revelations!

Ever since then, I have had a facination with the mythology of popular zombie culture, whether the source was gritty or just plain bad.
