Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a realistic, historical-based RPG set in 1403 in the Kingdom of Bohemia.  Emperor Charles IV (King and Holy Roman Emperor) has died, leaving his oldest son, Wenceslaus IV, to ascend the throne.  Wenceslaus proves to be an ineffective leader, and his half-brother, Sigismund the Red Fox (King of Hungary), kidnaps Wenceslaus, leaving the country without a ruler.  Sigismund then proceeds to use his forces to plunder throughout Bohemia.  You play as Henry, the son of a blacksmith who is seeking justice for your family and village that was razed by order of King Sigismund.  You join the resistance lead by Lord Radzig Kobyla, finding yourself fighting in the midst of a civil war.

This game is anticipated to be groundbreaking in many ways.  The game developers spent a significant amount of time studying the movements and physics that would have been used during the time period.  Early gameplay and reviews say that it is as close to the real thing as you can get.  You can learn how to use a variety of weaponry ranging from traditional melee and ranged to siege.

The game developers also went to great efforts to recreate villages and cities that existed at the time, imitating materials, fashions, and music with great detail.  A dynamic AI system changes the environment over time, and NPCs continue their stories without being reliant on your actions.  There are many ways to change how your story is told, and multiple ways to resolve quest lines.  You can develop skills to complete your goals through force, diplomacy, or intrigue.  Your actions even impact the economic system.  This title is sure to fulfill every RPG and history lover’s dreams.
