What I’ve always loved about the Gears of War franchise is not only the story they’ve been able to tell, but the world they’ve built since the first Gears of War game back in 2006.  On its surface, Gears 5 might look like just another cover-based shooter, but if you’ve ever played any Gears of War game in the past, you know it’s the campaign mode that really sets Gears apart from other shooters.  Gears 5 looks to be no exception, boasting a longer campaign mode than any previous Gears of War game to date.

As excited as I am to get into the campaign, Gears 5 offers plenty to keep me occupied, long after I’ve finished the campaign mode.  With five different modes, from Versus and Horde, to the brand-new Escape and Map Builder modes, I know I’ll be playing Gears 5 for quite a while!
