Had my new washer delivered 5 days ago. Fantastic in store and delivery service! Last night, the washer died mid cycle and is now sitting with my laundry in stagnant water with the lid locked! Wish my experience with calling LG for service was half as great as my call to the Geek Squad. It was determined by the Geek Squad that the washer is in dire need of service. In the meantime, does anybody know how to get the lid unlocked so I can get the stinky laundry out?

Oh ish! I'm so sorry to hear about this and such a new washer too! Is LG sending someone out or are we? If you are contacting LG, I noticed that their website (LG.com) has either an email or by phone option. I hope this gets worked out quickly for you.

Was just about to post an update. Best Buy was able to dispatch a repairman to our house this morning! From what I understood, unnecessarily complex engineering of the machine made a simple fix into a hard one. The appropriate parts are on order, the nasty clothes are out, and we're waiting on our next visit from A & E to hopefully fix the machine.
Funny enough...LG also called this morning in their first attempt to schedule a repair! Told them we refused to wait around anymore and called Best Buy, who promptly scheduled a repair.
