i bought a new spring phone for the 9 dollars a month payment for 24 months.
when i read my contract, it still says 33 dollars for months 1 to 24.
what is concerning as a consumer, is that through the contract no where does it state it will be 9 dollars after x amont of months for my future sprint bills.
is this an oversight issue ? i am mostly concerned.

I had the same confusion when I purchased a phone via a similar type of deal via Verizon.
What they do is charge you the full amount the first month and then deduct the overage from your next bill.
This isn't a Best Buy thing it is a Sprint thing. Then then month after your phone is paid off you will get one more deduction to your bill.

thanks for the reply. so basically, the savings is credited from your monthly plan ?
in a way, you are saving money, however, you are 'locked in' to some extent for the 2 year duration.
is this correct ?

Correct.
AND that is exactly why they do it this way to lock you in.
I purchaed my Pixel 2XL for $450 off last year. GREAT Savings. So my payments are some $35 a month for the phone but I then get $18.75 refund on my next bill. If I want to pay it off and get a different phone I then pay $35 times the number of months left.
Really not a big deal for me as I have been with the same carrier for a long time. And as an addded bonus is keeps me from rushing out to buy the next big thing to play phone games on, send text, and browse facebook.

Hey isual,
I would suggest contacting your carrier to get this resolved.

Unfortunately we do not have an iphone center or shop certified by Apple here in Pakistan. I bought an iphone x from a local store which i cant chase anymore, as a gift for someone and that person never used the phone here in Pakistan. The person moved to UK. I remember unboxing the phone myself and when a sim was inserted in it in UK (the first time as per our knowledge), the phone said that its locked on a carrier. We have been trying for over a year now and recently the apple store in UK said that the phone was purchased from Best Buy and they couldnt help us out anymore. They asked us to contact you. Could you please, somehow, tell me what carrier is that phone locked to? I would contact the carrier myself but i need to know which carrier to contact. We have no clue what carrier is the phone locked to.
Waiting anxiously for an early reply.
