iPhone XS return/fix policy?

I bought my IPhone XS about 2 months ago. A week later it randomly started shutting down I thought nothing of it until it also started freezing on a random screen and would not function until you turn off the phone completely. it’s been doing it about every 1-2 days for the past 3 weeks now

Re: iPhone XS return/fix policy?

The return period on cell phones is 14 days.  If you purchased Apple Care or the service plan you should be able to bring it in and have it sent off for rapairs.

However, I suspect it is a software issue possibly the resut of an application that was installed.

Did it first start happening after you installed a new app?  If so was it from the Apple App store?

If it did start after you installed an app you may try removing that app.

If you don't have a service plan you may need to contact Apple Inc for warrenty support.

Also, try going into settings and see if there are any patches or updates.

You may also fix the issue by doing a reset of the phone. Keep in mind that will reset your phone to what is was when you first got it.

Re: iPhone XS return/fix policy?

Hey there, Rbolger04,

Having run in to issues like this I know how much of a pain it can be to have your phone consistently freeze and stop working normally. As bobberuchi mentioned, this does sound like a software problem. If you're still having problems with your phone the Geek Squad can help you take a look at this to see what's going on. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
