Re: I phone X Preorder

Are we able to change our payment method? I used a virtual card and just found out the limit on the virtual card is $1000 daily. Is this possible? If not, then my pre-order will fail when Best Buy tries to charget the virtual card.

Hey memphissfinest,

I believe you can change the payment method any time prior to it shipping. I would try first checking your order status page in your My Best Buy account to see if there is an option to change it there. If not, you will need to call 1-888-BestBuy to get this updated.

Re: iPhone X Pre-Order Experience

Bestbuy only sell the universal iphones that work both CDMA AND GSM so at least we get that instead of buying one thats only supported on one network for that extra $100 bucks. I did a preorder with apple, i will use bestbuys phone until i get mines from apple since they wanna add an extra $100. Punks!

Re: iPhone X FAQ

Apple does sell the same one but you need a carrier account to purchase the CDMA+GSM one. Hence those who wanted one but aren’t either Verizon or Sprint subscribers had little choice but to go with a retailer or wait for the SIM-free model from Apple which releases usually a month or so after the initial release.

The discrepancy is erroneous, though, no doubt about it.

Re: iPhone X FAQ

The amount of flak BB is getting over $100 overcharge is quite amazing. Somewhere in a meeting room someone must be questioning the sanity of this greed-fueled decision.

Just a few of the major internet news/review/tech sites about the issue:

Re: iPhone X FAQ

I’m truly surprised it took this long for news outlets to pick up on this. I was completely barricaded when trying to ask Best Buy on Twitter. When I called it in, they brought up stuff about BB higher-ups deciding this and cannot explain why.

iPhone X Pre-Order Shipping

When you pre-order the iPhone X, who is the phone actually shipped from and what is the route it takes before it gets to the store? If you chose to pick it up in-store, is it shipped directly from Apple to the Best Buy store you selected?
