You're right. People shouldn't expect a gaurantee BUT what they should get is a straight up yes or no answer. Most people (like I was) are getting different answers. Yes it is misleading when a best buy employee at the store tells you "yes you will get it" and then you find out on this forum it's anything but that or in some cases walk back to the store, get another rep and they say "you have a better chance waiting in line at an apple store than expecting to get one here".
I don't actually care either if I get my iPhone or not anymore. They've already told me that they can't make any gaurantees so I left it like that...just crossing my fingers that I get one on Friday if not oh well. Yes, would be great if everyone thought like basguru but sorry the world doesn't work like that sometimes....more often than none actually.

I didn't call a local sales rep I called the 1-800 number. Again it's like you don't listen stop assuming things. At the end of the day what I decided to do was my business, all I wanted to know was when I can get my phone that's it. Since you don't have that answer we don't need to have a coversation.
ANYWAY for those without the email, my suggestion would be call your bestbuy later today. I called and was given alot of helpful information about the inventory and possible restocking. I would say that we should see our orders filled today if the store you ordered from doesn't have too many pre orders of that phone. If not, having it shipped might be faster.

Christina I didn't assume anything, my post said IF you went off a local sales rep.
I'm glad you got a lot of useful information today regarding your order. It still sounds like you don't know anymore now than you did previously, but if you feel better about your situation then good.

Hey I preordered my IPhone 6s 128 GB Space Grey on the pre order day, I did it quickly when preorders became available. I emailed best buy last week and asked them if I would be able to pick it up on the release day and the lady said yes, the phones release tomorrow and I still haven't received any notification about picking it up tomorrow. If I don't get my IPhone I will be extremely dissapointed and will never buy from you guys again for decieving me. If I don't recieve any email tonight then im assuming they don't have any in stock at my local store, i'm sure another best buy would at least have a few iphones left over, would they able to contact that store and tell them I pre ordered? I don't care if I have to drive 2-3 hours to a best buy to pick it up, I would really like to get my phone as I was told I would be receiving on launch date.
