Thanks for being in the forum and willing to help. I placed my pre order already, and according to the order it indicates it will be delivered 9/20 (Release Day).

 

How confident is Best Buy that this delivery will actually take place on 9/20 as indicated? If I would have ordered directly from Apple they indicate delivery dates into October!

 

I am concerned that Best Buy is over promising and we will not get the phones as soon as the website indicates.

 

Please let me know your thoughts.

I understand your concerns, and part of me would be wondering the same thing with ordering from anyone since this new iPhone is heavily anticipated. With that being said, pre-orders are fulfilled, generally, in the order they're placed and when inventory is available. As you know, we rely on the manufacturer to receive our inventory and hope to receive ample stock for the amount of orders that have been generated. 

 

While we don't anticipate any reason for orders to be set back, if for any reason there were to be a delay on receiving your order, you will be notified by email.

It's now Sep 18th, and my neither the iPhone 11 Pro or the iPhone 11 Pro Max have shipped.  The Best Buy website still shows pick up available on Sep 20th for every model.  This is in stark contrast with every other carrier, and apple themselves, which have dates pushing out into October.  

 

I'm not so much asking a question here, but more stating the obvoius that as has happened in past years, Best Buy has planned poorly, and I'm pretty confident in saying they've dropped the ball this year on Pro-Orders.  If you disagree with that assessment, please answer me how Best Buy has all the stock in the world, when the carriers, and the manufacturer themselves are short on stock?

 

I was optimistic, but as time goes on, and all the people in a forum thread on MacRumors haven't had their phones ship yet either, it makes me less and less optimistic.

I hear your concerns 100% and I understand where you're coming from on this. As you know, any stock we do have would be from the manufacturer and we will continue to fulfill pre-orders as quickly as we can when that stock is made available. As the FAQ states, pre-orders for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will be filled in the order they are received as inventory arrives beginning on September 20. Any delay in this fulfillment will be communicated to you through email.

The reply above provides absolutely no answer to concerns raised and and email I received just now confirms that BestBuy is absolutely unreliable...

I had a feelIng I shouldn’t have ordered from BestBuy but was still hopeful; until I got this email below regarding my iPhone 11 Max 256gb order. Giving themselves a month to ship when ordered within the first 15-minutes or so after release on 9/13. Very irritating.

iPhone 11 Trade-In

So with this iPhone 11 trade-in thing Best Buy is running, if I were to trade in my 6s, would I have to activate the iPhone 11 on Sprint or can I leave it unlocked? I'm currently on MetroPCS/Metro by T-Mobile.

You can always trade in your phone with us, that shouldn't be a problem. However, if you are looking at purchasing an iPhone 11 with us for Sprint, it will have to be activated on the Sprint network. All of the models of iPhone that we currently offer are intended for use on a particular carrier. For an iPhone with MetroPCS or T-Mobile, I would suggest buying through them or through Apple.

I would rather buy the unlocked version from BB than from Apple on launch so I can use the purchase towards maintaining my elite plus membership. I also earn points which equals money.

At this time, Best Buy is not carrying and Unlocked version of this iPhone. You can purchase a new iPhone 11 on our website for the three major carriers, Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. If you are looking for a Unlocked phone, I would suggest visiting with Apple.
