Verizon in Mexico

I just bought last week on my Vacation two Samsung Galaxy Edge +  in BestBuy paying the Full price for the unlocked type and no plan. I explained that I would use them in Mexico Carrier (Telcel ) where I live, and the sales representative gave me the expert advice that the Verizon version of the phone would work great due its "Global Mode". But when I Returned to Mexico today and Insert the SIM of my Carrier they only work at 3G Network.  There is any problem with Verizon working in Mexico? How can this be fixed? or how can I change to the proper phone from outside US (Mexico). Thanks for your help.

Are you certain the network in Mexico is better than 3G?

Regrettably, we are not able to accept returns or exchanges by mail.  Any returns or exchanges would have to be completed within 15 days by bringing the product into one of our US stores.  I would recommend contacting Verizon to see if they can be of any assistance.
