Thanks junfeter.. I chose the Silver Titanium figuring it would be harder to lose in low light situations. LOL ;-) Good luck with yours..

Called 888BESTBUY and no luck.  Order can't be modified at this point. Smiley Frustrated

Please know the ability to modify the fulfillment method of your order (ship-to-home to store pickup, vice versa, or from one store to another) will be heavily dependent on the availability of the model you've pre-ordered in your particular area. Also, we are only able to make order modifications in certain stages of processing, so your order's current status will play a factor as well.

The is the last time I preorder anything at Best Buy.  I have to wait until who-knows-when to get the phone I preordered at the store I chose, while someone who didn't bother can just walk into the Best Buy Mobile store across the street and buy one today. There's something wrong with that...

brokenpinata -- I wonder if it might have something to do with the carrier and availability of the correct SIM card...? Just speculatin'...

So just for clarification: 

 

This "delayed item" email was sent to multiple purchasers despite preordering on time?

 

This delay has also set all the orders of the phone specificially to "Processing" rather than preparing or shipped?

 

And this also means that we will not be receiving our phones on the 3/11 date? Or we will and it'll just be a surprise to all of us?

RSC - CArrier shouldn't matter.  Phone I ordered was ATT, phone in stock across the street is the same sku.  I think they are allotting at the store level, and not regional, so some stores have extra stock after fulfillments while other stores are shorted.

 

dboy - It's a mystery.  I never even received a delayed email, if that makes you feel any better.

I got my S7 edge today when I did a pre-order the day after it started and I am happy. Now I am wondering how/when I will be getting the Gear VR and the microSD card. Both have been stuck at prepping since a couple days before my phone moved to prepping?

 

Am I suppose to go to a store to get them? Do I have to do some type of registration with Samsung to get them?

dboy320 - Please know that we are doing our best to fulfill all pre-orders in the order received as inventory for each model allows. With that said, at this time you may not receive the pre-order on 3/11/16 as anticipated, and I apologize for any disappointment that this may cause. 

 

brokenpinata - To clarify, the carrier would matter greatly in when a pre-order is fulfilled, as the identical phone, say a gold Samsung Galaxy S7, would be considered different models between carriers. With that said, I took a quick peak at your order and it appears that the phone should be able to be modified at this time. If you should like, I would be delighted to look further into changing the store location. However, please be aware that if the store you mentioned does indeed have outstanding pre-orders, we cannot guarantee an earlier fulfillment. 

 

thatgeekdad - I'm glad to hear that your Galaxy S7 arrived! I took a look at your order with the details you registered with the forum, and I see that the free items are currently awaiting shipment at the warehouse. I imagine that they should ship out in the next couple of days as we continue to fulfill pre-orders, and the pre-order bonus items, as inventory allows.

I couldn't change mine either to store pickup and still nothing as far as shipping still reads Preorder-- will be very upset if it doesn't arrive the 11th as I am missing work and ordered it within 12 hours of the presale announcement.  Contacted BB chat, phone etc and keep telling me they expect it will ship to me by 11th but sadly think they are blowing smoke up my butt on it as it hasn't changed status at all and did at one point and now back to presale.  I will be returning the items if that is the case and will take my busines elsewhere.  If you take presales they should be able to fill the orders as they came in -- how stores can have them for sale and preorders are still not completed blows my mind. 

 

Glad all you that ordered phones are getting them sure that is super exciting!
