I do not see how this reply helps. As consumers, we read into this kind of statement as "we don't have answers, but we do not want you frustrated."
On another note, I have contacted Best Buy Corporate and they have told me that my status is based on the fact that my order has been filled and is delayed because of UPS pickup.
So...who can we believe? I am sure there is someone the the change-of-command that can provide a straight answer. If it was a "back-order" kind of thing, wouldn't the status change to "back-order" with the expected release date of yesterday and not "In Progress?"
Like presidential canidates giving speaches...we as voters/consumers want straight answers...not political responses vailed as helpful ones.
Pleaes do better with customer support.

Using the details you registered with the forum, I see that your free items have been sent to the warehouse and are awaiting shipment. As for the phone itself, it appears that it is still waiting in pending pre-order release status, as many pre-orders are as they await inventory for fulfillment. I apologize if you were advised otherwise when you contacted our phone support.

Also to be noted:
I understand the need of "signature required" with a device like this, but with the instability of delivery and trying to schedule time off to be there to sign for it...makes it a little hard to swallow.

As I've previously explained, we are doing our best to fulfill these pre-orders, and we generally attempt to fulfill such orders in the order they are received. With that said, pre-order fulfillment will be heavily dependent on each model (S7 or S7 edge, color, and carrier) as inventory and pre-orders received will vary for each. Furthermore, received inventory will vary between each store location and warehouse.

Please see that I have responded to this inquiry on your original post. However, for clarification of others who may be in similar situations that may be looking at this thread, the person named on the order (or listed for pickup if Friends and Family Pickup was used) should be present, as well as the mobile account holder.

Well, the thing that irritates me about this whole thing is that I received an email yesterday morning that clearly says, and I quote:
"Exciting news, Ryan. Your order will be ready on 03/07/2016.
For the best experience, simply follow the instructions in the What You Need To Know section.
Please note your credit card has now been charged for the item(s) listed below.
We look forward to seeing you, and thanks again for shopping at Best Buy®.
Vice President, Customer Experience"
Key words are will be ready, not might or should be ready. Yet, only part of my order was ready, and as of this moment (03/08/2016), nothing has changed. I never received a follow up stating that my phone has been delayed or anything of that sort, and calling corporate just let me know that there was a backend issue somewhere. But now on here I'm reading it's a problem with fulfilling the preorders.
Being explicitly told one thing and then something else and then something else that runs counter to the original explanation is where my frustration lies.
