Is there any way to learn when Best Buy is likely to ship my pre-ordered S7 Edge now that we're about a week away from official launch date? Normally I'm very patient, however my old S3 is having problems and I don't want to spend $$$ fixing it with new phone just around the corner. FWIW - Reading reports that some have already been shipped to customers from elsewhere.

As previously mentioned, we do our best to ensure pre-orders reach our customers as close to the release date as possible by shipping pre-orders as soon as possible (within vendor agreements, of course) as inventory becomes available. 

I would encourage you to keep an eye on your email inbox for any updates on your order as we near the release date!

ugh wth!  mine says that now too all of a sudden!  the charge has been sitting in my account, waiting to be done with "pending" so I can just pay it off already.  what's going on here!?  we better have these phones by release date, or i'm done dealing with any pre-order from best buy again.

couldn't edit..but wait

 

so now there's TWO pending charges of the same amount on my account from best buy.  one from the day i pre-ordered, and one from today.  what's going on?  why two charges???

The worst part is if it gos back and reverses for me I'm using a family member card and if they see money back in it he will use it. I don't want him to get charge if it no money in the account after

Cliff822 - Seeing your order in a strange status can be a bit worrisome, especially with the release right around the corner. I was able to locate your order, and it simply appears that your authorization has expired. However, I understand that this may be cause for further concern, as the card used for payment does not belong to you and you do not wish for your family member to utilize the funds. Given this situation, I would encourage you to contact the family member right away regarding this situation so that they are aware. If we are unable to reauthorize and collect the funds when we are preparing to ship your order, your order will be delayed, and potentially cancelled. With that said, you should have the opportunity to change payment methods at this time or upon the first failed attempt, if necessary. 

 

jayochs - Thank you for following up! Checking back on your order, it appears that the authorization did expire on 3/4/16. However, it seems we're beginning to reauthorize and collect funds as we prepare to ship orders with the release date at the end of this week. Your financial institution may simply need a bit of time to release the original authorization we reversed due to its expiration, but you should feel welcome to contact them regarding this if you don't see it drop from your account. Currently, everything looks normal on our end!

Soo when it says awaiting Authorization does that mean it trying to reauthorize?

Currently, your order doesn't appear to have attempted to reauthorize your payment method. However, I would anticipate this to be an occurrence coming your way in the few days we have left leading up to the release.
