An update for those interested: Last tuesday I finally received my S10+ 1TB Black phone from BestBuy as I stated in a previous post. That same day I applied for the Samsung $130 credit for the promo. Within the hour I received a message back through the Samsung app my promo was approved and they would send out the e-giftcard within 4-6 weeks. I think that was a standard response message. Within a few hours I received e-giftcard in my app and email. Of course, checking Samsung's site, no earbuds available and not for a few months maybe, but the e-giftcard is good until September. 

 

On Tuesday this week I happened to check Samsung's site. It stated earbuds could be available within a few weeks (mid April) and it actually took my order using the e-giftcard. I oredered the black which I would prefer over white anyway. Today I received a message that my order has shipped. 

 

Samsung appears to be stepping up its game to satisfy the orders for the earbuds at least. I hope all here receive your phones and promos soon. There is still hope.

Finally got my phone on Wednesday!!! Applied for the earbuds and got a response that they were sold out of the promo but would be giving me an ecertificate for $130. I should receive it in 4-6 weeks... ok, but why does it take so long to send an email with a gift certificate in it?? Oh well. Maybe by the time I get that the earbuds will be back in stock...

You should get the email pretty soon, keep checking the email. I got mine within an hour of approval, and the black buds popped up on the store yesterday and I ordered them.

I pre-ordered on 2/23 and still haven't gotten my phone. I missed out on the pre-order bonuses.

Well I claimed my free buds on the 17th of March and the ship date keeps changing in Samsung shop app, right now it says April 22nd. Initially it was 17th May then was 17th April. It keeps changing.

Hey you guys. So I cancelled my preorder and got my phone from another best buy. I also was able to get approved for the earbuds promotion. I have also come to the conclusion that the store I preordered with were extremely rude. I think next time I'll do my phone purchasing from somewhere is. I'm think I'm gonna chill on Best Buy for a while now. I hope you guys get your phones or do like I did.

This was my 1st preorder and I feel like I'm being punished for trying to get this early. First not getting my S10 from Bestbuy on release day to now after registering on the 17th of March I now got an email saying they will send me a $130 ecertificate soon. I have been patiently waiting for my shipping confirmation. Others who registered after me have gotten their certificates, why have me waiting this long to now give me a certificate? This has definitely steered me away from trying this ever again.

Quick update since my last post on Mar 27:

 

On Apr 4, I called the Best Buy store I pre-ordered my phone through to see if they could give me a status update. The person I spoke with said she couldn't tell me anything but would get her manager to call me back. Twenty minutes later, I get a call from the Best Buy manager who informs me that she doesn't see any orders coming in for Samsung phones for the next two weeks (which is as far out as she can check on incoming shipments).

 

Seeing as this is now practically a month since the phone's release, I came to the decision to cancel the pre-order that same day (Apr 4) for a couple different reasons, but the biggest one being that this whole experience of pre-ordering through Best Buy and the poor communication/customer service has really tainted the desire for the phone. I can just spend my $1k+ elsewhere and for me, it's not worth it for those earbuds. 

 

The irony of all this is, on Friday evening, I got an email saying my phone was ready to be picked up (go figure) Smiley LOL

 

For now, My S8+ works great and who knows, when the new iPhone is released later this year, Samsung/Best Buy might run some other promos that are just as appealing as the pre-order but maybe without the hassle of having to wait for the phone.

 

PS - Has anyone seen the posts about Samsung not honoring trade-ins for the S10? I'm thankful for not having to deal with that.

Really wish you could edit these posts; I should have specified that the email I got about my phone being ready came through Friday, April 5th (the day after I cancelled the order).

Getting my Galaxy Buds Tuesday soooo excited. I just know know that this will be my last time getting a cellphone from Best Buy. Beware to all who at preordering the Galaxy Fold. Dont do it at Best Buy or you will be in a forum just like this one! Just saying!
