You may see this happening if your pre-order has a different fulfillment method than where you are gathering this new information from.

In store... But Best Buy is a single corporation. If they used two fulfillment streams without taking into account then needs of their customers, that is a failing. If the online store could deliver to the store where I placed my order, Best Buy could have fulfilled the preorder. Are you saying corporate did not do it's best to fulfill in store preorders before selling and shipping online orders? If that is true, that is a logistical error.

There is an assumption made by consumers that preorders after first in line. That they are fulfilled before standard orders, no matter where those orders after placed.

Best Buy had an obligation to fulfill all of its preorders before selling to walk in and post release buyers.

That's exactly how it should be. That's exactly how it is most places and every other year except this one. Stores always fulfill their preorders first. For whatever reason Best Buy jumped all around and that's wrong. I ordered mine as soon as ordering opened, 2/21 midnight after the unpacked event on the west coast. ..Stores wasn't open then. I was one of the first to preorder and they still messed it up. Smh. I got my phone today, so I am hoping they start sending phones out soone.

Finally got an email saying ready for pickup. Now I'm not there at this time so I have to let my sister pick it up on Saturday. Fingers crossed that my phone will still be available then.

Glad you got an email. I pre-ordered mine on the 6th. The guy told me that only a handful had preordered the Galaxy S10 Plus so I was optimistic about the phone coming soon. I'm still waiting on an email. Highly disappointed and will not be preordering through Best Buy again. The communication horrible and it should never take this long to get the phone. My S8 Plus is freezing and glitching bad . UGH!
