Re: Samsung Galaxy S10 Series and Watch Active FAQ

I was on the phone with local and the 888 trying to figure out what's going on. I pre ordered mine a day after it was available. What I didn't understand and still don't is a) why people who pre ordered after me got there phones because you can't tell me that many people got the same phone. b) why all the phone carriers and samsung.com delivered there's on 3/7-3/8 and "they didn't send enough inventory". Also if it's this big of a cluster and all I get is a I'm sorry. I agree that best buy is crap. I would have got mine from Samsung if I knew that they do payments. Oh well I know for next time.

@Cofurna,

I recommend pairing with Samsung directly for the answer to this question. You should be able to call Samsung Customer Support at (866) 888-5503.

@Weaverchris

I recommend visiting your local Best Buy store. They can go over our Trade-In program as well as any promotions that you may be eligible for on your day of purchase.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S10 Series and Watch Active FAQ

Very frustrating. No updates from Best Buy since preordering last month. When I ordered thru confirmfef the date was still the 8th for the model I wanted (Prism Blue 10+). Checked store today, no phone and no date on when it should arrive. Ridiculous. Rep tried to imply no guarantee it would be the 8th, but everyone that I know pre ordered at Samsung at the same time I did (even some after) geot their phones early. We even checked the white at the time as I was flip floppong and thatdate stated March 15 already. So why tell me March 8 if there wasn't chance of the happening? Top it off I may have to leave on a moment's notice next week for a work trip that could be a few days or even potentially 2 weeks (project manager...go where the problems are). I can't even get an ETA from the store. Terrible process.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S10 Series and Watch Active FAQ

Hey, Samsung Galaxy S10 Series fans!

I see that there were a few questions about the trade-in process prior to release. I trust that many of these have been answered but if you still have a question regarding how the trade-in process works, I recommend connecting directly with your local store.

If you need help finding the store nearest you, you can use our Store Locator found here.

Samsung Galaxy S10+ Pre-purchase

Good afternoon. On February 21st, I visited your shop to pre-purchase a Samsung Galaxy S10+ with the intention of giving it to my wife for her birthday. The shop advisor assured me that they would deliver it to me that day without fail from morning hours; in the receipt they gave me, it is clear that they were going to actually deliver it to me on that date directly in the store, since I wanted to be sure to have it without delay for the reason of the gift.

But what is my surprise, I went to pick it up today (March 8th) and the cellphone didn't arrive, nobody gave me a reason for it, they told me that I have to wait 3 to 5 more days. If that solution did not work for me, they would give me back the money. And in both cases I lose; I don't have a gift for my wife in her birthday, and if I get the money back and buy the cellphone somewhere else, I will lose the hearing aid promotion that Samsung has as an advance purchase.

Then I ask you:

IS NOTHING ELSE THAT CAN BE DONE? NOT EVEN A GIFT CARD OR SOMETHING FOR BREAKING YOUR PROMISE?

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF PREVENTS, THEN? ISN'T IT TO HAVE THE DEVICE ON THE DAY OF ITS PREMIERE, WHERE I BOUGHT THE DEVICE? It was your responsability, not Samsung's. I bought the cellphone in your store, not Samsung's. So those who should answer me, are you. The answer ''Samsung did not bring it into our hands, we are not the ones that have to answer for it'' is unacceptable.

I am a My Best Buy Elite Plus customer, I love buying in your stores, but cases like this make oneself lose confidence in the seriousness of your services.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S10+ Pre-purchase

Apologies, but the associate who assured 1st day delivery was setting you up for disappointment. While it is true that a large portion of the phones are delivered on the first day, there are always going to be some phones not shipped out by the manufacturer on day one due to their own supply/demand limitations. The purpose of a launch day event is just that, the first day the phone is available to take home.

Samsung and Apple generally get an idea for which colors are most popular during the preorder phase and adjust their production accordingly. This does take some time to be reflected in the numbers of each phone that are delivered to retailers such as Best Buy. For our part, each individual model/capacity/color essentially has its own preorder list. Those are filled in the order the preorder was placed. I was able to get my phone before my friend despite his order going in first simply because my phone was less popular.
I am a Best Buy Employee, but the views that I post are my own and not that of Best Buy.

Re: Where's My Phone!

I had similar thing happen only I got email after I had been to the store and wanted gas getting there. I would recommend going to a store if your ok with a different color. I ordered the blue +. The manager was able to get me a white phone from a different store tommorrow. I really didnt want any color besides blue, but at least this way I dont lose out on bogo or the free earbuds.

Re: Where's My Phone!

Thank you for the suggestion. I did go to my closest BB and they said I had just missed UPS who had picked up the preorders. I was going to try to intercept. Luckily, got a shipping confirmation an hour later and it's being delivered tomorrow. Sorry you didn't get the color you wanted but yeah, those earbuds, they will be ours!
