Hey, ScottMobley,
It sounds like the order may not have fully gone through. We ask that you give us a call at (888) BEST BUY which is (888) 237-8289 so that we can take a look. If your order has gone through, our Mobile Specialists at that number can see if everything is set to connect to your current family plan. If your order has not fully gone through, we recommend visiting your local Best Buy so that they can assist in placing your order.

I have a preorder question. I have T-Mobile so buying a phone from Best Buy means getting an unlocked model. No problem there... I preordered an unlocked phone. Here is my issue. There seems to be a lot of confusion in the stores and online about the current trade in promo. I am going to be trading in my Pixel 3 XL. It seems like I should be able to get the promo trade in value of $550... this is based on footnote 5 listed in the first post in this thread (also found online) where it says "Unlocked phones: Activation not required." This was also what was told to me when I went into the store to place the preorder.
However, another rep in that same store initially told me that the offer was only available to people purchasing an activated phone on Verizon, Sprint, or ATT. Additionally, before I visited this particular store, I had called a different one and the person on the phone told me the same thing. They both said that I would only get the "regular" trade in value of my device, which is significantly less than the $550. I did a bunch of hunting around online and I found a couple of articles talking about the offer that only menation activating the phone and saving up to $650, but I found one or two that stated that if you buy an unlocked phone you will only get up to the $550.
Sooooo... here is the dilema. The guy who did my preorder swears I'm good to go. However, I can very easily see launch day coming and going to pick up the phone only to find that I CANNOT get the $550 on my trade in... thereby screwing my chance at getting the free buds if I cancel the purchase since the offer ends the day before. I would much rather buy this phone in person at BB than through Samsung.com, but I will do the latter if it is the only way I can be ensured of getting $550 for my trade in Pixel 3 XL... unless someone can definitively give me an answer. Please help!!! Thanks in advance.

Hi- I understand there are two benefits offered through bestbuy from the Galaxy S10 Pre-orders for AT&T
#1- generous trade allowances up to $650 (e.g. best buy will give $550 for a S9 which is well over market value)
#2 - BOGO
If I trade in two phones for the BOGO- do I also get up to $650 a phone in trade in value , or are these two offers not combinable and I would be subject to a lower trade in amount?
Thanks!

Doesn't seem like anyone really knows the details of this promotion. I thought I was going to get an answer through chat support, but they ended up telling me I'd need go into the store for specific details. Problem is the store reps give conflicting information.
Might be better of ordering directly from Samsung, since they are offering the same promotion.

Yeah, the part that is sketchy is where it says if they don't accept your trade in, they wont even send the phone back to you. That is why I was going through Best Buy, but I can't get clarification on the trade in promotion.
I also thought I could apply my birthday coupon on the phone, but since you don't pay anything until you pick it up, it wont work. I could order it online and use the coupon, but then I don't qualify for the trade in. Lol this promo seems to be a mess. I liked it better when you could trade in the phone ahead of the release and they gave you a gift card and a coupon for the additional credit towards the purchase.
I might try Samsung or skip the S10 all together.
