Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. I’m sorry that your Note 9 preorder was delayed. We do our best to get all preorders fulfilled on launch day, but occasionally inventory issues can prevent that.
At this time, we don’t have any details on when most orders will come in beyond what is listed in the order itself. I’d be happy to double check that for you to see if your order is an exception. I’d just need you to send me a private message through the link in my signature below this post with some order details.
Specifically, your name, email address, phone number and order number. I look forward to hearing back form you with those details so I can check this out for you.

It's Verizon. I've pre-ordered one 512GB and one 128GB. If the bill credit amount is $37.46 ($899/24m), I'd cancel my previous pre-order, and take new order with $150 Gift Card.

I can understand the frustration with the wait. I took a look and at this time the BOGO is still a current offer. This means that you should still qualify for the BOGO if you get the new phone while the offer is still ongoing.

it's the middle of september, still no word on my att note 9 512gb ocean blue pre-order. even with the redemption for pre-order bonuses extended til 10/1/18 i do not forsee getting the phone by then. to top it off the recent promo of free $150 best buy gift card + samsung fast charge wireless charging stand will likely be another missed opportunity. this will go down as the single worst experience of buying anything i've ever had. we as consumers are paying for something a simple "no we are not taking pre-orders" could have prevented. i could have taken my business elsewhere or not be given empty promises. 100% certain this'll go to deaf ears regardless.

I am bewildered by the lack of pre-emptive customer communication on the backorder of the 512's by Best Buy.
I preordered TWO Samsung Galaxy Note 9 512's (att) on August 11.
My order was placed - IN STORE.
Online order tracking does not work, and the orders do not show in my online BB account.
Calls to customer service could not explain why my order does not show up online.
CS could also not tell me anything about the status of my order.
Calls to the STORE also resulted in no information about my order.
Both CS and the store said - we will call you when it comes in.
So, I have an outstanding $2400 order, and no one can tell me the status of the order, and there seems to be no level of concern by BB CS that the order might be lost, nor any sense of urgency to get the order fulfilled and delivered.
To leave customers without any form of communication just drives frustration and undermines our loyalty to Best Buy.
Best Buy should be reaching out to us with updates - instead of we as customers reaching to Best Buy. Especially for those orders which have lingered for more than a month now.
I have been watching the 512 Best Buy backorder topic play out on many forums including Samsung, Android central and here at Best Buy forum.
If customers are doing what they say they are doing - then Best Buy is experiencing a high rate of cancellations for this product.
In turn, Samsung is also losing future customers, and many posters say they will move to the new Apple phone coming out.
Customer communication is the key to driving sales.
Best Buy, you are failing your loyal customers when it comes customer service communication regarding Pre-Order backlog of the 512 Galaxy Note 9's.
I hope you use the lost revenues and canceled orders as a learning experience and close this communication gap on other products moving forward.
