Re: Note 9 Verizon BOGO Pre-Order Offer

Hi,

I've pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 512gb version from a local Best Buy store. I asked about the promotional offers (AKG Headphones and/or Fortnite) and was given a handout that directed me to download the 'Shop Samsung' App to submit required info and choose Gift. I've downloaded the app and see nowhere to submit info. Also, in trying to follow the below steps, I do not see any "Turn Up Your Play" offer in My Inbox. What am I missing or how do I proceed?

  • Offer Redemption Steps:
    1. From 8/10/18–8/23/18, pre-order a Samsung Galaxy Note9 on a device installment plan, lease or outright purchase at full retail price.
    2. Download the Shop Samsung app on your Samsung Galaxy Note9.
    3. Tap the Menu Icon on top left > My Inbox > Turn Up Your Play offer.
    4. Tap See If I'm Eligible to get started.
    5. Tap Allow when prompted to allow Shop Samsung to make and manage phone calls.
    6. Tap Allow when prompted to allow Shop Samsung to access your contacts.
    7. Tap Register Now for the Samsung Turn Up Your Play Offer.
    8. Tap OK when prompted to sign in to your Samsung Account to redeem the offer.
    9. Fill out the required information, and if prompted, upload receipt/proof of pre-order, which can include, but is not limited to, a pre-order confirmation email, receipt or packing slip by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on 9/13/18.

Verizon Note 9 BOGO (adding new lines)

Hi, I'm wondering if I can get 512GB and 128GB with Verizon BOGO deal.

At my nearest BestBuy store, they only allowed 128GB + 128GB.

Is this all same to other stores?

Hey Scott,

If it's anything like the Note 8 bonus that had to be redeemed through the Samsung Shop last year for the wireless charger, you have to wait until you get the phone, then access the shop from your new device. When you hit the "See If I'm Eligible", it will check to make sure you have the Note 9 before it will let you proceed. I'm sure a BBY rep will chime in if that's incorrect but that was what I had to do last year.

Hey Lacid27,

So from what I understand, at least with AT&T, you get reimbursed for the cost of the second phone in the form of monthly payments. So my AT&T bill may say "+ $40: Note 9 Lease" followed by a $40 credit, totalling it out to $0 for that device. The only stipulations I can find are the "discounted item must be of equal or lesser value" so of course the 128GB would be the free device, and the other being the "up to $999.99 credit" meaning if you did a 512GB + 512GB, you'd only get $999.99 reimbursed to you in the end instead of the $1,250. So if you were only able to do 128GB + 128GB, there'd be no reason for them to even add those stipulations. Hope that makes sense.

If I'm correct, and again a BBY rep may come in and prove me wrong, I would assume the store only allowed 128GB + 128GB because those are the only devices they can guarantee in-store right now as I believe there is significantly less stock being secured for the 512GB devices. This is likely why they stopped taking release-day preorders for the 512GB after the first or second day but continued release-day preorders for the 128GB for about a week or so (and I believe you can still preorder the 128GB for release day for in-store pickup).

Re: Note 9 Verizon BOGO Pre-Order Offer

I ordered the Note 9 512gb ocean blue on Aug. 9th at midnight.  It said "On or Before Aug. 24" I would have it in my hands.  So far everyone else (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Samsung) have shipped the phones to people and they already got their shipping information.  Best Buy has done NOTHING yet with our orders.

I am leaving town on the 25th, and ordered it because it said I would have it in my hands by the 24th.  What is the status of all the orders?

If I don't get it by the 24th, this will end my business with Best Buy forever.  And I spend around $3k a year with you guys.

Re: Verizon Note 9 BOGO (adding new lines)

@lacid27

The 512GB model should qualify for a free 128GB model. The promotion is applied by Verizon as a bill credit, so you are also welcome to confirm this with Verizon directly, should you wish. Please keep in mind the additional terms and conditions available in the original post.

The store may be out of allowable preorders for the 512GB version, as many of them are, which may have lead to the confusion.

@Scottray

This promotion will be fulfilled by Samsung directly. I recommend pairing with them for any additional redemption instructions.

Hey @Nicole32loki,

Congratulations on your new phone purchase. The 512GB model has extremely limited inventory across all of the available versions and we cannot at this time guarantee a delivery date, which is why we have not provided one.

Once we have a date, we will be sure to update you via email.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note9 FAQ

Stock at Stores I get...one store might get 100  512G phone orders but only 40 get delivered to send out today.    Another store might get 50 but only have 20 preorders.   they'll sell them off the shelf then.

What puzzles me is why the SHIPPING (corporate) side of BBCO has that same issue?   You guys sell a crapload of phones for Samsung and should know when and what you're getting and then can assign them out in order that they were pre-ordered.  Seriously?  the people in the warehouse get a box from Samsung and open to figure out what they can distribute?   That's a bad, BAD thing.

For instance, I pre-ordered a 512 on 8/10 and I *THINK* it's shipping TODAY (aka RELEASE DAY)--so unless it's same day shipping  I don't get it on release day.    That makes NO sense to me.   You take care of your pre-orders FIRST, mine should be on a truck with "OUT FOR DELIVERY" on the order, not "PREPARING."    I'm looking at Monday at the earliest, probably Tuesday.    Course, the whole online ordering system y'all run is suspect as well (yes, I have horror stories) so nothing should surprise us.

Not good pre-sales management BBCO,  you need to step that process up a notch or three.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note9 FAQ

well my phone plan is activated, and I have been sent a RETURN SHIPPING LABEL. I have nothing to return, since I DON"T HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PHONE and they threaten me with having to return it within 14 days. Hard to do when I don't have the "replacement." Smiley Happy I'm amused. and a little miffed.
