Correct, I have the option to add it. But once I actully click the "Add to Cart" button it does not work. I've tried 3 different computer, mobile app, and tablet broswer. I finally gave up and just preordered the phone (S9+) - hopefully when the phone releases I wont have any issues adding the protection at the store.

Anonymouse – You can absolutely use that $350 gift card towards the purchase of your new phone. While pre-orders created online can take advantage of the trade-in promo, the credit received cannot be used towards the purchase of the phone. Only In-store pre-orders have the ability to use that credit towards the new phone.
MaddmessX – It appears there may be some hiccups with the insurance being added to your cart while checking out. However, It can be added 14 days after you receive your phone. I would recommend proceeding without it to make sure you can secure you pre-order. This is currently on our support teams radar for further review and I apologize about any trouble this has caused.

I hope you all had a great weekend! It seems the activity on the FAQ has been relatively low (hopefully meaning everything is going well). I just wanted to share some new details I received and just check in.
The trade-in offer CAN be done for pre-orders created online with the only caveat being the credit received CANNOT be applied towards the purchase price of the phone whereas the in-store pre-orders can. Please let me know if anyone has any questions on this and i'd be happy to clarify where I can!
I also wanted to thank everyone chiming in and helping each other out. We have a great community here and I appreciate the positive engagement!

I pre-ordered my S9+ (Verizon service) in-store on 3/2. The FAQ says TBA regarding when the pre-order devices will actually be shipped and available in the store for pickup. Is there a chance my order will be in stock before 3/16?

I know that the $100 promo doesn't apply with the unlocked S9+, but what about the trade-in? It looks like the trade in promo is the same as the one on Samsung.com and the T&C's here don't say anything against it, but I just want to make sure.

I placed two orders for the Galaxy S9+ Verizon on March 2nd the first was a Midnight Black at 12:05am ET and the second for a Lilac Purple at 7:46am ET and a charge was placed on my account at that time. Those charges are still pending but this morning a new charge for the first order was taken from my bank at 12:06am ET. Exactly 6 days and 1 minute since the original went through. Is being charged again happening because the order is processing? I know Sprint has shipped to a few as of this morning. But as of right now the funds are out of my account twice.
