@Allan-BBY it's OK the lost order mysterious showed up in UPS 31 hours later. The other order was cancelled by Best Buy this morning due to the activation error and I had to place a new order through Verizon directly. Hopefully I get both tomorrow.

I wanted to send this out as the release of these phones is tomorrow 3/16/2018. We are doing our best to get all preorders fulfilled by tomorrow, but it is possible some preorders won't get to the customer until a later date. Placing a preorder does not guarantee a customer will receive the item on the date of release, but instead puts them in line to receive the product. Inventory constraints, and other unforeseen circumstances, can cause a customer to receive their preorder after the date of release.
For preorders being picked up in a local Best Buy store please do not go to that store before you receive an email advising you your phone is ready to be picked up. Stores will be setting preordered phones aside for preorders throughout the day tomorrow, and just because you did not receive this email first-thing in the morning does not mean you will not receive this email later on in the day. Calling the store to find out the status of your preorder, prior to receiving this email, will not help; instead calling will only delay matters.

Will I be advised if they don't have enough inventory or do i just assume they don't if I don't get an email?
We would not be contacting you if this store does not get enough inventory to fulfill your preorder. I would assume they did not if you do not receive this email sometime tomorrow. With that said I have not heard of any inventory delays, and I would not worry about this.
