I already have a plan with AT&T
I am trading in a Note 5 for $150
If I come in on Friday 3/2 for $100 off
The math looks like this:
840-100-150= $590 + tax?
I saw something about "new line activation"
does this mean if I already have an exisitng line / account with AT&T I CANNOT get the $100 off then?

Just want to add @ewilson248
According to the fine print, the math actually looks like this: $840 + Tax - 100 - 150. It's not a big difference, but the tax is charged on the full amount before any trade ins or credits.
"Taxes applied to price of phone prior to the trade-in/gift card credit."

Can you please check on couple more things for us? Just want to be sure... so there is no payment made at the time of preorder? If I want to use AT&T NExt for example, the actuall charge it processed when the phone comes in? It's just with AT&T, I know that once the Next plan is started, there is no modifying it and no reducing payments, it stays what it was originally or has to be paid off fully at once. There are no option for any sort of accelerated payments. What if I use a Best Buy credit card? Is it charged after the gift card when we pick up our phones?
And on a related note, I have a $70 Best Buy gift card, can I use it too with the Trade In card?
Thanks

drumn_bass,
Currently deposit details are not known at this time. However, regardless of what type of plan you have, it will not impact you or begin until the phone has been physically activated on your account. Historically speaking, payment is not made on the phone until it is in the process of being fulfilled. Such as your phone departing our warehouse to be shipped to you or your phone being activated in your local store.
Any additional gift cards you have can also be used in conjunction with the trade-in promo to reduce the overall cost even further!
Respectfully,

Yeah I hope they trade in deal doesn't get messed up. I can actually give them my old phone on Friday if they need it too. If for some reason they can't do it, or there is a smallest hint of uncertantly, I will walk away and jsut pre-order from Samsung.com. There they actually promise to deliver it by the 14th... if I'm reading it correctly. Last year Best Buy's pre-orders got delayed, don't want to bring up any negativity, but it's worth mentioning.
Just an interesting observation, I tested few other models on Sasmung.con yesterday and they actually add tax after the trade in credit, but if may be the nature of online sales vs actual physical stores.
For me it's either AT&T variant at Best Buy, or unlocked from Samsung.com. With the extra $100 off, and with tax differences, they actually come out to the same exact price.

If I order 2 new S9's, can I can keep my current Verizon account and phone numbers?
Does the number transfer happen when BestBuy activates them?
Is there a charge for the activation?
Do I have to contact Verizon to deactivate my old S5's?
I'm not trading in any phones as my 2 to be replaced are Galaxy S5.
So If i preorder on 3/2, my price would be $720 + tax - 100 per phone?
Do I have to order in store?

What is "qualified activation"?
