WOW , just wow, NOW you guys give the answers I needed two days ago, go back and read the answers and the questions for the past 48 hours and you will see the giant mess. We all tried to ask the questions as best as we could, got conflicting answers that even changed as they went. NOW you tell me it was all spelled out for me and I have no one to blame but myself. great job. I came here to this forum for plain answers in plain english so I did not have to read and interpret fine print. next time just cut and paste the fine print and be done with it.

@ewilson248 I knew on Sunday that the $100 off was only for carrier devices on payment plans and not available on unlocked phones I'm not sure where the confusion is.

Well no one is saying it's your fault or anything, yes, the promotion is confusing in many areas. But this one point about unlocked phones has been very clearly spelled out on the web site from day one. So a little bit unfair to say Best Buy somehow misleaded you with the offer, when the offer details were on the main S9 page the whole time.

I am planning on doing a "trade in" today of an S7 for $300 -- Since we are only preordering on 3/2 when do I turn in my phone? Can I use my phone until I get the S9 or I have to trade in right away?

Once your pre-order order is created, you will hang on to your phone until you pick up and activate your new phone. At which point you will receive a gift card which can be used towards the purchase of your S9/S9+ or in any manner you wish!

Another stupid question---When preordering and setting up the trade-in today---Do I need to bring the S7 phone in to confirm or is that all done when picking up the S9?

 

This is for my wife, and if possible, I'd like to do the pre-order without her having to actually be there tonight with her phone....

Having the phone present will not be necessary when creating your pre-order since no part of the trade-in is initiated today.

Hello. I have two questions. I understand that I could get $350 gift card for trading-in an eligible device. If I may ask, can I use the $350 gift card towards the device installment to reduce my payments to my bill? (a 24 monthly installment with VERIZON specifically)

 

Also, can I pre-order online (store pickup option) and trade-in the old device later at the store once I pickup the new device?

Unable to add Geek Squad insurance for new phone purchase?

Attemping to take advatage of the S9 deal but not able to add the insurance. I keep getting nay error that something went wrong. Any =one else experiencing this? If I'm unable to add, can I add it at a later time once I get the phone?
