i am considering purchasing my Teenager a refurbished iPhone for Christmas. I was curious if anyone has done this through Best Buy from JemJem. Has anyone purchased through them before? Does Best Buy stand behind this product? Can I get an extended warranty in a refurbished product? Thank you.

Buying an iPhone for your teenager is a prety nice thing to do.
Buying products from the Marketplace can be a little different than buying from Best Buy. I do not believe you can get a service plan on a phone you purchase from a 3rd party vendor.
Granted Best Buy has done a vetting process on the Marketplace sellers and they are all legitimate retailers. But they are not Best Buy. You purchase from them.
It is not much different than purchasing from a retailer that has their store in Amazon. They are not Amazon but they sell via that channel.

Would you say it is safe say that since Best Buy "partnered" with them they are a reputable company?

I would say it is safe. Best Buy makes sure each marketplace owner is legitimate.
However, keep in mind if you have issues I believe you will need to go through the marketplace owner and not Best Buy.

Hi there jrzeegirl,
Buying a refurbished iPhone for your teenager is quite generous of you! Per our Marketplace Promise, each Seller has been approved by Best Buy Marketplace and has a reputation of providing helpful, fair, and responsive customer service. However, please know that you would not be able to purchase a Geek Squad Protection plan for any devices purchased through Marketplace.
I hope this information helps you in your purchasing decision! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Cheers!
