Google new Cell phone is pretty awesome. The Pixel 3 selling for less than some of the heavyweight favorites. There is some new feature that is new and exciting they have a camera option that is able to take some phenomenal pictures in low light settings. A virtual assistant feature to help with those pesky telemarketer calls everyone been getting lately, but to be fair I don't know all the great features of the top cell phone contenders, but just wondering what the most technical incline forum minds think?
Thoughts, opinions are welcome, believe me, I'm a novice just trying to learn and be enlightened by some of the great minds in here...I don't wish the phone wasn't so expensive, and I worry about crack screen.

I have had a variety of cell phone brands over the years and finally settled on Samsung as my favorite. All that changed last winter when I decided to purchase a Google Pixel 2XL. It was on sale for $450 with a 2 year commitment. Well since I have no plans to change carriers it was a no brainer.
Google Pixel is not my favorite phone, and not because of the sale.
The phone is fast, very fast. The glass is very smooth and very responsive. My wife's iPhone has a very good camera. The Pixel has an outstanding camera. I have not compared it to the new iPhones.
The phone is built and designed to work with Google Products. and their apps. To that end I find the interface seamless and things flow from my phone to my computer as if they were one. I have not tried it but I understand that if you have the Google Home set up there some great functions for that as well.
For me, the 2 features on the new Pixel 3 are the display quality and size. The phone is the same size but with better use of the area for the display
The resolution is nearing 4K that knocks the new iPhone into humility (after that broadcast Apple did to announce the new phone. It humbles the new iPhone.
iPhone XS Max
OLED at 458 ppi
Compared to the Pixel 3XL
QHD+ OLED at 523ppi
$900 or $1100 or the iPhone
iPhone makes a great phone product. But in my opinion of having had to work with both over the last 6 years. Google simply makes a better product.

Hey Bobberuchi,
thanks for giving me the scoop on your experience with the Google Pixel. I'm now actually looking and waiting for a deal on the Pixel 2 as the Pixel 3 is way up there. I like the phone, however, Samsung is my first choice as I've never be disappointed but I like to see what Google product brings in terms of experience and user bliss.

If you can watch prices and be patient you can get some really good deals.
As I wrote earlier I was able to get my Pixel 2XL at a really good price
