I was willing to pre-order the new iphone se(2nd generation) and at checkout there were two options of activate today or activate later ,i was a bit confused that will an unlocked need activation and which is the best option for an unlocked phone?
Will any carrier work in abroad on an unlocked phone with activation later?

Activate today means is comes with a sim card designated for a particular carrier.

Unlock later means you have to contact the carrier to get a sim card

So i can run any carrier later which supports the phone if it is unlocked and activate later us chosen

Thank you for stopping by our community forums. As bobberuchi mentioned, if you choose to activate a phone later you can then select a support carrier. Please keep in mind that many phones will be locked to a carrier once you activate it.
