Do Mophie Juice Packs negatively effect a phone?

Hi all,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that due to all my daily use can sometimes barely make it through the day without charging. I have been thinking about using a Mophie Juice Pack. Do they negatively effect the phone or its battery?

Thanks,

Gina

First thing I would do is go through your settings and look at your programs. If you have a lot of active programs that can drain your power pretty quickly.

I have an S4 and I can go quite a long time on a charge unless I start using a lot of data, GPS.

I set those programs to not automatically give me updates and to not automatically run until I activate them and my battery performance got a lot better.

On the other note, I have not hear of negative use from battery pack. I don't think you want to go with a cheap one though.

Oh, I also wanted to mention.  when I had an S3 I got a Samsung Battery and external charger from Samsung.  I used them mostly for travel or in a business situaiton where I would not be able to charge  my phone.  Worked pretty slick.

An OEM batter fully charged will generally give better performance than the battery pack charger.

While external batteries that form part of the phone case are convenient... I prefer the batteries separated....

  • higher mah for more storage and multiple charges
  • can charge more than one phone at one time
  • don't need to replace the battery pack when I get a new phone
  • consider other brands which may be cheaper...
  • love my 16800mah battery....
