Re: Activation Fee?

There are no activation fees whatsoever with pay as you go options, however, the AT&T GoPhones give you two options you can use with regard to airtime:

  • 25 cents per minute flat rate with no daily fee
  • 10 cents per minute rate, with $1.00/day fee whether you use the phone or not, plus unlimited calling to AT&T customers free.

With InPulse, here are your options:

  • Core Option: 99 cents daily access fee, unlimited mobile to mobile, 10 cent N/W and per minute and text message sent.
  • Plus Option: $1.99 daily access fee, unlimited mobile to mobile, unlimited night minutes, 5 cent weekend minutes per min. and text.
  • Power Option: $2.99 daily access fee, unlimited mobile to mobile, unlimited N/W, 2 cents per minute and per text.

Hopefully that helps,

Re: Activation Fee?

The activation fees only apply to post paid phones, the contracted phones that is.

Re: Activation Fee?

Not entirely true, Sassums. There are some no contract carriers that do charge an activation fee. One of them being Jitterbug, which is a carrier that caters to the elderly.

I was not aware of such activation fee, thanks for the information, any idea how much the fee is?

As far as post paid carriers, such as ATT, Sprint, and Verizon (These might be different depending on the stores location) I know it is possible to get them waived, such as this weekend ATT has been running no activation fees.

Activation fees for all the carriers I'm aware of, both pre-paid and post-paid.

Alltel - Not sure, but pretty sure it's around the same amount

AT&T Post Paid - $36 primary line, $26 for each line after that

AT&T No-Contract - No Activation fee

Boost Mobile - No Activation fee

Cricket - Some plans may require activation fee or migration fee

Jitterbug - One time set up fee of $35 (nothing for lines after that)

Kajeet - No activation fees

MetroPCS - No activation fee with purchase of a phone

Net 10 - No activation fee

Sprint post paid - $36 activation fee

T-Mobile post paid - $35 activation fee

T-Mobile flexpay - no activation

T-Mobile prepaid - no activation fee

Verizon post paid - $35 for first line, $25 for each line after that

Verizon prepaid - No activation fee

Virgin Mobile - No Activation fee
