With the announcements and releases of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge and the iPhone SE, as well as the LG G5, I thought it would be great to discuss an accessory to help protect your phone – screen protectors. Zagg offers one of the most popular screen protectors, the InvisibleShield, with a variety of screen protector families to suit your needs, all with lifetime warranties. I’ve personally had quite a bit of experience with multiple types of Zagg InvisibleShield, including the HDX, and the Glass. I’ve been pretty impressed with all of them and their ability to protect my phone. Even if I've delayed putting a screen protector on my phone and incurred a couple of scratches due to my lack of urgency, I've found that the InvisibleShield often hides them, while preventing future ones.
The Original Zagg InvisibleShield is a fantastic extra layer of defense. With self-healing molecules, it offers protection if your phone gets a bit beaten up and minimizes the appearance of dings and scratches. With that said, it doesn’t offer the most shatter protection or glass-like surface, so its clarity isn’t as great as the other InvisibleShield families.
Without going to the actual Glass family of InvisibleShield screen protectors, this is your best line of defense to protect your screen. Just as with the Original, it offers the self-healing molecules to guard against scratches and the EZ-Apply tabs. However, it also offers a shock-absorbing layer to offer maximum protection from shattered screens. It also offers incredible clarity with a glass-like surface.
The Glass – literally, a layer of tempered glass you place on top of your screen with the EZ-Apply tabs. It offers maximum clarity with its smooth tempered material, and fantastic scratch protection as its material has been 9h tested. With that said, it doesn’t offer as much protection from shattering as the HDX does, but it does do an incredible job nonetheless. The Glass also comes in a privacy version, limiting the device’s viewing angle to prevent people with wandering eyes.
