I know this subject has been touched upon a couple of times but I hope this time the idea gets picked up!
BestBuy needs one universal application for iPhone and Android systems. Combine RewardZone, Store, Deals, Game Trade-In & Library and Coupon apps into ONE universal application. I have noticed that some of the apps do not work properly all the time and crash upon opening. It's cumbersome to download four to five apps for the same store...BestBuy! Re-work the shopping experience into one unique one, by providing RewardZone, Store Site, Deals, Game Trade-In & Game Library and Coupons into one awesome application.
This would save users time from "multitasking" through numerous applications and save the user battery life while shopping on the go, pulling up reward certificates or adding a game to their library. I have an iPhone 5 and using BestBuy's site and applications are great...when they work!
One of the great things of having a smart phone is the use of NFC (eWallets) or Apple's Passbook applications. These applications provide the customer the ability to put their RewardZone Membership card, RewardZone Certificates or store coupons all stored in one place on their mobile device. This would save a bunch of money by not having to buy so much paper on something that will just be thrown out in a matter of minutes. Yes, there will be a demographic of people that still use their regular cell phones and not have the above capabilities. These customers should still be able to print from stores or from their homes.
The idea of having one application, Passbook/NFC support would be one of the great things BestBuy should do to their applications on the iPhone App Store and Android Market. I know personally, this would be a great experience and easily view everything in one application and to have the ability to pull my member card from my Passbook application. I hope BestBuy implements this as soon as possible!
I think it would be good if Best Buy online would have a signup for products that are listed as Sold Out Online when they come back. When I am looking to buy one of these particular products I keep a book mark to it. But the drawback is if I don't check everyday it might only be back for a little while.
Now, I see the Wish List feature. Will the Wish List perform this?
I've noticed since after Christmas 2012, Best Buy stopped selling the Playstation Vita bundles...Sony still carries these so why doesn't Best Buy carry them as well??? Bring them back! They were a great value for the price.
Post some text on the New Idea page that makes it obvious that separate registration is needed to share ideas. I initially tried to log on to this page using my standard Best Buy.com login, and the login name field is not long enough. When I tried to contact support online via the chat session, that individual couldn't even see what I was trying to see and could NOT assist. Thanks
Please consider putting a new link called "My BB Store" or something similar in a prominent location on the main page. It would either take the individual to the details/hours, etc for their preferred store or take them to the spot where they select one. I find that hainvg a preferred store selected is valuable, but having to dig for it + the details I want is frustraing. This feature can add to the loyalty factor but again is frustrating if we have to dig around for it. Thanks for listening.
I think it would be helpful for customers to make right choice if graphics chip filter is added to PC locator (e.g. Nvidia, ATI, Intel, UMA) since price significantly changes depending on it
Pretty self explanatory. When I go to a category, I see refurbished items in with the regular items. From the menus on the side, I can choose to only see refurb items but can't choose to NOT see refurb items.
You should add an option for "New" so I can choose to see just refurbs or just new. It's annoying to find something that looks good and then find out it's a refurb.
The only place I can find your weekly sales is at deals.bestbuy.com. Well, no offense, but that site sucks. The ad doesn't fit on my screen so I have to scroll around as well as changing pages to see what's on sale. Most other stores I shop at have a flash or PDF version of the same ad that comes in the paper. I can choose to view each page so it fits on my screen, or can choose to download a PDF and just scroll through it at my leisure.
Please consider a better way to show your ads on your website. It should be a duplicate of what I get in the paper, it shoudl fit on my screen all at once, and I should be able to easily flip between pages and see everything without any scrolling.
Considering it will be going completely digital soon (which I personally regret) and will be eliminating additional cost for material like paper, ink and printing as well as shipping. Does this then mean the cost of the subscription will also be reduced to reflect these savings?
I'm also curious on how exactly this process works?
Once you've download the issue, will you be able to re-download it again if you have deleted it and want to revisit it?
What about if you let your subscription expire, will you still be able to download the issues you were subscribed to?
You don't have the ability to just login to @Gamer and simply read the issue(s) on line?
I'm not a big fan of being forced to be tethered to my computer and not everyone has the benefit of a tablet or smart phone and reading a magazine on a smart phone is not a very enjoyable experience anyway. I myself prefer an actually magazine that I can hold in my hands and take with me, where ever I may roam. Soon all printed material will be digitized only and books and magazines will be like 8 tracks, cassettes and vinyl albums. You will have stories to tell the little kiddies "when I was your age we had..."
How about benefits for Premier Silver Reward Zone Gamers Club Members?
I think it would be awesome if your a Premier Silver Gamers Club Member to be able to login into @Gamer and access a data base of all the @Gamer issues. From the very fist issue, to the most recent and be able to read them through the website without the need of downloading. As a subscriber you should have the ability to read all the issues you've subscribed to online as well and always have access to them even if you let your subscription expire.
Lastly the ability to pay/renew your @Gamer subscription with the use of your Reward Zone points which is brought up in this post. Only 3 votes? Come on Gamers Club Members show some support and vote!!! ![]()

Finding items from BestBuy can be a pain when the item get de-listed from BB.com since you can no longer use the site to search local stores. This has been a consistant problem with video games & it happens alot on titles that are specifically part of @gamer coupon promos and/or Gamer's club exclusive coupons.
Yes, you can still call the store but since you have de-listed the item a non-BB savvy customer may not know how to get a hold of the SKU # or the rep who answers the call may have little to no knowledge of the item that is being requested. There's a big difference in the vanilla version and GOTY version but non gamers won't have a clue as to what GOTY means.
I see there's a way to research de-listed items being customer reviews but that only gets you the SKU # not the ability to look it up in stores. As a customer who drops into 7-10 different BestBuy's a month I see how big this issue is and too mahy times some stores have 2-3 stacks of items that are de-listed. Since it makes sense for you to sell them I'd assume allowing a cusomer to find the item would need to be made a priority.
I thinks it's been suggested before but a system update in general is probably past due.
Let me first say, I think the marketplace affiliate integration in the site is a cool thing...
But frankly, it sometimes is a bit aggravating.
For example.
Tonight, as about midnight, my power supply on my main PC died. I frankly can not leave it down for several days to wait for shipping of a new one.
So I load up pages for several local retailers, and electronics stores, to see what's being offered.
This way, when a decent shopping hour comes around, I am armed with an idea of where I am going, and what I am looking to purchase.
so I hit the best buy site, and frankly, am stopped in my tracks. Sure, it is cool to have the marketplace affiliates listed, but there should be a simple way for me to exclude those results, when I am looking for products that might be in my actual local store... As well as a way to see whether a specific product is in at a specific store. There are about a dozen different stores in my relatively local area... Easily within what I am willing to drive to go get this power supply in the morning.
granted, that's because of the time saved by not having to drive to each and every one of them, along with a dozen OTHER stores to make my purchase. One of the basic reasons for a website, and the internet in general really, is for it's uses to simplify shopping.
frankly, the marketplace results make it MORE difficult for me to shop what's in my local stores.
Because of this, I will most likely be purchasing from a competitor, since they at least list what I can go and buy from them tomorrow on their website
This day and age the population are all getting smart phones. Apps are the new way to go. They are fun yet are useful at the same time. It's great that Best Buy has created multiple apps for the store. Currently there have been 6 developed, all with pretty good ratings (I'm referring to the Android app store). One thing I think would be great, and I'm sure this has been discussed before amongst the developers, is to integrate all the apps into one. It'd be nice to just open the Best Buy app and have all the other apps tools be accessible through it. I don't make the apps or understand how they are made, but I feel it'd be so much easier to just open the app and choose what I want, whether it be looking up a game trade-in or something from Geek Squad and so on and so forth. Not sure who will read this or where this will go but to any who have taken the time to read this thanks and maybe help spread the idea!

This isn't really my idea but I wish this feature worked on the Best Buy website. Currently it only works on items within the weekly AD. I tried it and it is pretty cool having the ability to visually look at previous price history for an item. You can see the lowest and highest price the product was advertised and when. Set up alerts to be notified of a price drop or a certain threshold you could set. Stock status at your closest store and the last price change.

One of my MCSAs had some ideas about how to improve bestbuy.com. His name is Matthew {removed per forum guidelines} and his employee number is {removed per forum guidelines}. His idea was that we should add a link that will give the customers a list of comparable items based on the specs of the item they were originally searching for. He thinks this would help us find a solution for those customers who go online or call the store looking for a certain item, only to find out that is out of stock or unavailable for shipping. In his opinion, the best place to put this link would be right under the add to cart link that is next to every item.
I like this, and I could certainly see it being useful to both our customers and employees. I should point out that no results will be perfect that are based on specs alone, but it would for sure be a starting point. Does anyone else have anything to add here? Remember to vote for an idea if you like it.
On a side note I would point out that this is a public forum, and you should not post employees last names or employee numbers.
I just had a quick suggestion. Now that you have a Reward Zone Facebook app, you should integrate your Pitch-In program with it. That way, when your birthday or other special occasion rolls around, people can send funds to your Pitch-In card via Facebook. Facebook supplies information, like your birthday and when you change your relationship status, etc.
Anyway, just trying to help.
When people post reviews online, they are posting their personal experience with a product. When people go onto their reviews and down-rank them just because it's not something they would personally purchase it actually creates an environment where people don't like leaving feedback/product reviews. Why not keep things positive and have a thumbs up option and if you don't agree, you don't agree.
I like shopping with Best Buy because of the service I can get. However, I have a constant flow of credit being put into my Amazon Payments account. I would like to buy from Best Buy if possible, as long as I can get what I'm looking for at a good price. Perhaps adding the option of Amazon Payments as a valid payment option on bestbuy.com could get some additional customers like me who would normally use that "easy" function to buy the same item from Amazon.
I absolutely love the "Upgrade & Save" program where you can trade in a DVD for $5 off of a bluray. Absolutely love it! However, it would be even better if there was a way to apply the $5 to online orders as well. This should be fairly easily achieved by having the computer generate a code one could then use when placing an order online.
If I were able to use the $5 upgrade certificates online, there are a LOT more blurays I would buy that Best Buy doesn't carry in stores.
Thanks for reading!
I went through all the steps, including answering all those questions, for ONE position. Upon returning to the site and applying for a SECOND position I noticed that I had to fill out EVERY SINGLE RESPONSE as if I was a new person.
You have my login, my password, my social security number, my name. Why can you not retrieve the information I've already put in? Why should applying for a position be so hard? Why can't your website remember all of my information? Why would I have to answer all those questions again? I'm not an expert but it seems to me your application process has flaws.
I think it even said that I wont have to answer these questions again when applying for different positions. Yet, there it was again. It is an EXTREME WASTE OF TIME to go through all that over and over again and again. Are we not in the modern age?
Please Fix This.
Very often I get the "can you answer these questions" on a product I have purchased or reviewed. However the button undernieth the question does not say something like "answer this question" it says "Ask a new question." If you click on "Ask a new question it does take you to the page where you answer the question, but you have to put in a user name again (even though already logged in).
Also even though have answered a number of questions, the fact I have done so is not showing up in my profile. I am sure there is a different way to log in, but that is sure not clear or obvious.
Lastly, when answering, there does not seem to be any way to see the other answers to that question to see if what you are going to say has already been posted.
And, btw, where how do you get to the questions and answers on a specific product anyway????
My Idea.....Fix it and make it clear
I had never heard this before so I tried this feature of BestBuy.com myself. It seemed to be working fine for me, and when I clicked on an existing question there was a button titled "Answer this Question".
When I click this button I go to a screen allowing me to answer that particular question. No time during this was I required to log into BestBuy.com; there is a box requesting my user name, but this box has the word optional listed underneath it.
I will take your word that the questions you have answered aren't listed under your profile, and I could see the value in this. Would anyone else like to see any answers they have provided be listed under their profile?
When I clicked on a question to answer it, I clearly showed all previous answers to that question. To get to questions and answer for a particular product just go to that product's page, and scroll down to the bottom. Remember to vote for an idea if you like it.
