iPods & MP3 players

Here's what I'm looking for:  portability, rechargeable battery, decent sound, reasonable cost.  I want to be able to move it around at home without using the ear pieces.

Well, no one answered this, but what I ended up doing is taking the Nano 6th back & got the Ipod Classic 160 GB & for a portable speaker, I went with with Altec Kick Motion.
