can i bring my 2g ipod touch into best buy, trade it in for a new 4g touch, and pay the difference? any ideas on where i can do that? and how much the difference would be?

You can use the Best Buy trade in, though, you won't get a lot for it. Then you can use that towards the bigger/newer one.
