So i have my 3rd gen i pod touch and am thinking about trading it in and paying the difference but i have one question some ppl are telling me that in order for me to use facetime and the camera that i am going to have to use a phone company is this true? thanks in advance

I know that i use the wi-fi from my computer and i need to use wi-fi for facetime only right?

Wifi is the only connection that it will accept.

You can use any wifi network, provided that it's open, or you know the login info.
