Ok, The title says it all. I am going to try to buy the iTouch/iPod Touch soon. I don't know where to buy it from though. Can you guys list the Basic Warranty you give and what options I have? I have the money to buy one I just don't know if it's worth it. Say it breaks the first 2 weeks, will I get a refund or will they send it to factory and repair it?
To summarize all this up:
What kind of warranty and I getting, and what options do I have. Would I get a warranty like for 1 year if I just buy it. I don't want o spend too much on the warranty, but I want to at least have one. Can a mod/adman please explain this to me? I would be very grateful. Thanks ![]()

Within 30 days, as long as the problem is covered under the mfg. warranty, it'll be exchanged.
To learn about the GSBTP plan for iPods, go here.

Wow, that's all? Only 30 days? When I bought a PSP(Playstation Portable) I got coverage for 1 year without paying any extra money....Does Apple cover it for like a year after purchase like Sony does, or what?

No you are misunderstanding Nokia. Nokia gave you a direct answer to your example issue of "if it breaks in 2 weeks". Apple has a 1 Year Limited Warranty that will cover manufacture defects and will not cover damages caused by abuse or neglect. You can also buy the GSBTP to extend the warranty coverage. However in most cases I have seen you are best if a issue should arise that you need warranty support to go to Apple first and let their warranty cover the issue. After the 1 year apple warranty is up start using the GSBTP. Only exception would be if the GSBTP covers something that the Apple warranty does not like GSBTP covers the battery but the apple warranty does not cover consumable parts such as the battery unless damage has ocurred due to a defect in materials and workmanship. Also if you get the advanced plan which has Accidental Damage it will cover accidental drops or spills that the Apple warranty wont cover. Those are about the only 2 reasons I would use the GSBTP in the first year.

Hi pstarus, and welcome to the forums!
As referenced by nokia, the iPod Touch carries an exchange and return policy of 30 days. This means that within the first 30 days, if you find the product to be defective, you would be eligible for an exchange or return of the product.
It also carries a 1 year warranty from the manufacturer. Apple covers parts and labor within the first year if it is defective.
Additionally, you may choose to purchase a Black Tie Protection plan for additional coverage beyond the manufacturer's warranty.
Keep in mind that the coverage would cover defective products, not damaged products.

Thanks Jason. I understand better now. Nokia; How much would that cost me if I bought the 8GB iPod Touch?
