beats by dr dre studio for pro?

I bought my beats studio last summer with a 2 year warranty. Can i exchange them for the beats pro and pay the price difference. My beats studio is staticky when i walk with them and leak really bad when i use them. If not, will my warranty cover the staicky part, i think there is something wrong with the drivers.

You can't pay the difference for the headphones unfortunately :/. Check to see if you could trade it in. but yes it is covered. Go in to your nearest best buy for assistance!!

When I purchased my Dre Beats with the 2 yr black tie protection I was told that I could upgrade them by just paying the difference. Just went into Best Buy yesterday and asked at customer service the same question to make sure nothing had changed and the lady told me that all I need is the product and my receipt and as long as I was still within the plan I could do this "pay the difference". If this isn't true why would I be told this twice?

Just looking for some confirmation because I am looking to get this done in the next few days.

MSIDD0 is correct. You can not do a "trade up" The black tie protection plan is for failure or damage of the device. No where does it offer a upgrade path. However as mentioned as well your protection plan would cover the repair or replacement of your faulty Beats.
----------ALWAYS check your purchased items for damage before leaving the store. If you never leave the store and check it in front of a employee it removes all doubt that you might have damaged the item.----------
